Rockstar has not yet documented which accessibility or control settings Grand Theft Auto VI will include. That means button remapping, subtitles, text-size controls, camera options, and other features should be treated as unconfirmed until you can check them in your own copy of the game.
Use this checklist when GTA VI is available: inspect the settings that match your needs, make one change at a time, and test it in a low-pressure part of the game before relying on it.
What is confirmed about GTA 6 accessibility settings?
Rockstar’s official support information identifies PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as GTA VI platforms and lists Standard and Ultimate editions. Its platform and editions page was last updated August 18, 2026. It does not document GTA VI accessibility features, control remapping, or the game’s settings-menu layout.
So, claims that GTA VI has a specific feature should be considered unverified unless supported by current official information or a direct check in the relevant game version. The available information also does not establish whether an option will be present on both consoles or work the same way on each.

What to check in the game’s settings
When you can open the game, look for options that address your own needs. These are categories to inspect, not confirmed GTA VI features:
- Input: Check for button remapping and whether actions can be set to toggle instead of requiring a held button.
- Vision and reading: Look for subtitles, captions, text size, and contrast controls.
- Camera and aiming: Check camera behavior and aiming sensitivity, including any settings intended to make movement or aiming more comfortable.
- Gameplay assistance: Look for assistance options that may make particular actions easier to manage.
If you cannot find a setting, confirm the game version and platform before concluding it is absent. The current official GTA VI material does not establish which menu categories or options will be available.

Use GTAV as a navigation clue, not a feature list
Rockstar’s GTAV support material points players to Pause Menu > Settings and identifies controls, audio, camera, and display among that game’s categories. That can suggest where to start looking in GTA VI, but it does not confirm that GTA VI uses the same menu or includes the same options. See Rockstar’s GTAV settings guidance.
Rockstar also documented deadzone and acceleration sliders, along with a first-person auto-level camera option, in GTAV update notes. In that game, a lower first-person aim/look deadzone makes input register sooner, while acceleration governs how quickly turn speed reaches its maximum. These are examples from GTAV, not confirmed GTA VI settings; the GTAV update notes should not be read as a GTA VI feature specification.

For GTAV, Rockstar says vehicle controls are displayed when a player enters a vehicle, and that changing a control in that context affects on-foot controls and vice versa. That behavior is specific to the earlier game and should not be assumed for GTA VI; see Rockstar’s GTAV vehicle-controls article.
How to test a change safely
- Open GTA VI’s settings on the platform and version you are playing, then locate the relevant control, camera, audio, display, or assistance option if it exists.
- Change one setting at a time so you can tell what helped or made play less comfortable.
- Try it in a low-pressure section of play. Pay attention to movement, aiming, driving, and reading as relevant to the change.
- Return to the settings menu and adjust or undo the change if it does not suit you. Check whether it affects multiple contexts, such as on-foot play and vehicles, rather than assuming it does or does not.
Check the edition and package format before buying
Rockstar’s platform information lists Standard and Ultimate editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its pre-order details page, last updated June 26, 2026, says the physical package contains a digital download code and no disc. Check the specific retailer listing for the platform, edition, and format you intend to buy, and do not assume a physical package includes a disc. See Rockstar’s pre-order details.
