The Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is shorter, narrower, and 8 g lighter than the DeathAdder V3 Pro. The Pro has higher published sensor ratings, while Razer claims up to 90 hours of battery life for the Pro and up to 100 hours for the HyperSpeed. Both support an optional, separately sold dongle for Razer’s stated 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade.
How do the size and shape compare?
Both mice use an ergonomic DeathAdder shape, but the HyperSpeed is the more compact model. Razer says it refined the shape with pro players to reduce the length and width while retaining a high peak for support. That describes the design difference; it does not establish that one shape will fit every hand better.

These are Razer’s published specifications, not independent measurements. The HyperSpeed is 8 g lighter and smaller in all three listed dimensions.
Which mouse has the better sensor?
Razer publishes higher maximum sensor ratings for the Pro. The figures describe each sensor’s rated ceiling, not a guarantee that the Pro will feel more accurate or responsive in every game or setup.

For many players, the practical choice may come down more to preferred size, weight, and hand fit than to these maximum ratings. The published specifications alone do not establish a perceptible performance difference for every player.
How do battery life and polling rate differ?
Razer claims up to 90 hours for the Pro and up to 100 hours for the HyperSpeed. These are manufacturer maximum claims rather than results from a controlled, side-by-side battery test; actual battery life varies with use.

Both mice can be upgraded to Razer’s stated true 8,000 Hz wireless polling using the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle, which is sold separately. Razer’s launch announcement lists native 1,000 Hz polling for the Pro. The upgrade is not included with either mouse, so account for the dongle separately if 8,000 Hz polling is important to you.

Which DeathAdder V3 should you choose?
- Choose the HyperSpeed if you want the smaller, lighter body or prefer its compact dimensions. Razer also publishes a higher maximum battery-life claim for this model.
- Choose the Pro if you prefer its larger dimensions or want the higher published sensor ratings.
- For either model, factor in the separately sold HyperPolling Wireless Dongle if you want Razer’s stated 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade.
