The exact workflow depends on the engine. The detailed steps below use Roblox Studio; Unity’s documented AI features are noted separately.
How do I fix AI-generated game code?
Start by confirming that the script is attached to the right object and is meant to run under the conditions you expect. Then inspect the code and test its behavior in the game. AI output can require correction: Roblox’s Assistant for Studio documentation warns that generated scripts might not function flawlessly.
Check the script’s target and trigger
In Roblox Studio, select and name the object before asking Assistant to add behavior. For example, the official AI Assistant tutorial names a platform GlitterPart and asks for sparkles when it is touched. That gives the request a clear target, trigger, and effect.
After generation, inspect where the script was placed. Assistant can put scripts on the selected object or infer a location when nothing is selected, so a misplaced script can look like a code failure.

Inspect, playtest, and make a narrow correction
- Read the generated script. Check that it targets the intended object, responds to the intended trigger, and attempts the requested effect.
- Run the game and reproduce the problem. Observe what happens instead of describing the result only as “broken.”
- Revise one specific issue. Tell Assistant what you observed and ask it to change the relevant behavior, or edit the script yourself.
- Playtest the change. Confirm that the intended behavior works and that the edit has not disrupted another working part.
Roblox documents that Assistant can revise its own scripts or edit existing ones. Familiarity with the engine’s scripting language helps you review the proposed code rather than treating it as an unquestioned fix.
Why does my prompt produce inconsistent or unexpected behavior?
Give the tool concrete context: identify the object, the event that should trigger the behavior, and the result you want. A recognizable object name can help. Roblox’s tutorial cautions that changing the wording, even slightly, can change the output; precise context is useful, but more words alone are not a guaranteed improvement.

When a result is off target, change one part of the request at a time and compare the outcome in a playtest. For example, first clarify which object should respond, then address the trigger or effect if that is still wrong. This makes it easier to tell which change helped.
Why does the generated asset look wrong?
For Roblox mesh generation, try a clearer subject description or use a reference image instead of text. You can select a Part to define the generated mesh’s size and location boundary, and set a triangle-count limit; the documented default is 10,000 triangles. Roblox’s Assistant guide also documents a rolling limit of up to 50 procedural models in 24 hours. These are product settings and limits, not measures of asset quality, and may change.

If the result is divided into parts, review the proposed breakdown and use recommended part names for supported object types. Roblox describes imported-mesh segmentation as an early-preview feature, with results dependent on input topology. In practice, unsuitable or malformed source geometry can limit the quality of the segmentation.
How can I make a generated asset easier to edit?
In Roblox, segmentation can divide generated content into components so you can customize materials, attach scripts, or replace a part without regenerating the whole model. The documented workflow lets you edit the prompt, optionally provide a hint image, adjust part names, preview the results, and confirm a selected result before inserting it.

Choose the approach that matches the problem: use a text prompt or image reference to guide a mesh, and consider segmentation when you need component-level edits. These are Roblox-specific capabilities, not features that every AI asset generator provides.
How do I test an AI-generated game?
Test the actual behavior in the game, not just whether the tool produced code. Roblox’s tutorial presents playtesting as the way to decide whether a generated code sample needs changes. Use a repeatable loop:

- Write down the behavior that should happen, including the relevant object and trigger.
- Run the game and note the concrete result, such as the event not firing or the effect appearing on the wrong object.
- Make one focused change to the prompt or script.
- Run the same test again and keep the version that works.
For a Roblox project, AI on Roblox documentation describes connecting a coding client to Studio to read the data model, edit and run scripts, and playtest. It also points to Rojo and Git for file-based version control. Keeping versions is a practical way to recover a working state if a later edit causes a regression; it does not guarantee that changes will be regression-free.

Unity’s documentation describes in-editor AI assistance for writing and troubleshooting code, as well as asset creation from prompts or references. See Unity’s AI documentation for Unity 6.5 for the documented overview. The available documentation supports those capabilities, but it does not establish a matching step-by-step diagnosis workflow for every Unity project or generated-code failure.
Whatever engine you use, inspect the output and test it in the project. Do not assume a particular Roblox feature, UI path, or asset-generation option exists in Unity or another tool.
What safety rules apply to AI-generated content in Roblox?
Roblox requires content created by or using generative AI in its games to follow Community Standards. When developers use Roblox APIs such as GenerationService and TextGenerator, inputs and outputs go through moderation, including text filtering and image and asset review. Developers using third-party tools remain responsible for content delivered to players and must not bypass required safeguards.
Games where player interaction triggers an AI response must disclose that in the Content Maturity questionnaire; extended AI interactions have additional classification requirements. Check the current Roblox Games with Generative AI policy before publishing, because platform rules can change. Roblox states: “When incorporating generative AI into your games, whether using Roblox-provided models or third-party solutions, you must ensure these integrations remain safe, follow Roblox’s Community Standards, and provide transparency to your users.”
