Mount a compact HDMI touchscreen on a secure bracket or case structure, then connect HDMI for video, USB for touch, and any separate power input the display requires. Before fastening or cutting anything, test the screen with your PC and measure the full assembly—including its connectors and cable clearance—against your case.
Choose a display that suits the PC and the intended mount
Look for a screen that explicitly supports use with a PC and has an input your computer can provide. In the examples below, HDMI carries video and USB carries touch; other models may use different connections, so check the exact product documentation.

These are examples, not a universal fit recommendation. Compare touch technology, resolution, orientation, viewing angle, mounting holes, connector locations, and power needs for the exact model. HDMI5’s product documentation describes its panel as a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 resolution.
Test the display before designing the mount
Connect the display to the intended PC while it is still outside the case. Check that the PC produces an image at a supported resolution and that touch input reaches the intended screen. This is a useful compatibility check, not a guarantee: product documentation for the cited models does not establish support for every operating system, driver configuration, or multi-display arrangement.

Measure the complete assembly against the case
Measure more than the visible LCD. Include the bezel, circuit board, enclosure, plugs, mounting holes, and the space needed to bend cables without stressing them. Compare those measurements with the intended case location and inspect nearby components and access points.
- Check clearance from fans, the graphics card, CPU cooler, motherboard headers, and any other installed hardware.
- Make sure the screen will not block airflow, removable panels, or routine service access.
- Use the product’s stated dimensions as a starting point, not proof that it will fit. BIGTREETECH lists HDMI5 at 121 × 76 mm; a separate Raspberry Pi enclosure, such as the Argon enclosure, has its own display geometry and mounting scheme.
The case model and display are not specified here, so there is no universal cutout size, bracket, or cable length. If you plan to cut a panel, mark and verify the cutout against the actual screen, connectors, and case before making an irreversible change.

Secure the screen without risking nearby hardware
Use the display’s threaded mounting points if provided, or attach a fitted bracket or enclosure to a stable case structure. Mounting interfaces differ by product; there is no one bracket pattern that suits every panel and PC case.
- Do not rely on a loose panel or unsupported adhesive as the only retention if the screen may be touched or exposed to vibration.
- Check screw length and placement so fasteners cannot protrude into components.
- Keep conductive brackets and other metal parts from contacting exposed electronics.
- Confirm the screen remains supported when the case is moved and does not interfere with opening or removing panels.
Connect video, touch, and power
For the documented HDMI touchscreen examples, connect HDMI to a compatible PC display output and USB to the computer for touch. Supply power as specified by the chosen screen. BIGTREETECH lists a 5V DC input for HDMI5 V1.0; do not assume that its USB touch connection also supplies sufficient display power.

Route cables away from fans and sharp edges, secure slack, and leave enough room to unplug connectors during service. The exact internal power connection, any required adapter, and the available power capacity depend on your display and PC; the cited product information does not establish a universal header adapter or power budget.

- Power off the PC before installing or repositioning the display and its wiring.
- Secure the screen and inspect the mount, screw clearances, and cable route before closing the case.
- Start the PC and verify the image, screen orientation, and touch mapping.
- Check that fans, removable parts, and service access remain unobstructed.
If video works but touch does not, check that the touch cable is connected to the correct port and that the model’s driver and operating-system requirements are met. If the screen does not fit without obstructing hardware or airflow, choose another location or mounting approach rather than forcing the assembly into place.
