For TinyBlkDog’s Titanfall 2 VR plugin, start with its default 75% Resolution, then raise it if the image looks soft and performance remains stable—or lower it if performance struggles. Tune turning and world scale to your own comfort. First confirm which mod you installed: CircuitLord’s separate full-conversion mod uses its own settings, and TinyBlkDog’s values should not be assumed to apply to it.
Check which Titanfall 2 VR mod you have
“Titanfall 2 VR mod” can refer to different projects. TinyBlkDog’s project is an alpha Northstar client plugin for the single-player campaign. Its README describes a DLL and INI that hook the game’s DirectX 11 renderer and camera and use an OpenXR session; it says the mod does not modify game files or distribute game assets. The project documentation says it was developed and tested on Meta Quest 3 and Play For Dream MR through Virtual Desktop’s VDXR runtime. Other headsets and runtimes are untested, not stated to be blocked.
CircuitLord’s project is a separate full-conversion mod distributed through its installer. Its README describes stereo rendering, full-body IK, manual reloads, Titan controls, and a separate TF2VR profile. The current settings guidance for that project is not established here, so use CircuitLord’s own documentation rather than transferring TinyBlkDog’s controls or values.
What resolution should I use?
If you are using TinyBlkDog’s plugin, leave Resolution at 75% to begin. The creator chose this conservative default because the mod does not measure GPU capability. In the in-headset panel, Resolution ranges from 50% to 200%; 100% represents the headset’s full panel resolution. These are settings ranges, not performance guarantees for a particular PC or headset.

- Open the mod’s in-headset panel and find Resolution.
- If the picture looks soft and frame rate is holding steady, raise the value in small increments. If performance is poor, lower it.
- Close the panel to apply the change, then reassess the image and performance in the game.
- Continue until frame rate no longer holds, then step back once. This is the creator’s iterative tuning guidance, not a universal preset.
The plugin alternates which eye is drawn on each game frame, so each eye refreshes at half the headset’s frame rate, according to the README. Stable performance therefore matters, but the documentation does not specify a universal target resolution or frame rate for every GPU, headset, or runtime.
How do I make Titanfall 2 VR more comfortable?
Choose a turning style you already tolerate
TinyBlkDog’s controls documentation lists snap and smooth turning, a turn response curve, and separate deadzones for turning and the right stick’s vertical axis. Start with the turning style you are accustomed to. If steering feels too sensitive or inconsistent, adjust the response curve or relevant deadzone a little at a time. The documentation lists these controls but does not identify one setting as best for everyone.

Adjust perceived scale if the world looks wrong
World scale defaults to 1.00 and ranges from 0.50 to 2.00. The controls guide notes that the game can feel too large and its 3D may feel flat to some players. If hands or weapons look oversized, try lowering world scale. This changes perceived scale; it is not a performance setting.
Use the other comfort controls selectively
The controls guide also lists three crouch modes, haptics, an adjustable neck model, optional aiming steadiness, and ADS view-rotation controls. Change only the options that address a specific discomfort or handling issue, and make small adjustments so you can tell what helped. The available documentation does not establish a universally comfortable combination.

Be aware of head-locked cutscenes
TinyBlkDog’s README warns that cutscenes are locked to the player’s head and may cause motion sickness. Its stated workaround is to keep your head still during them. This is a known issue for this project, not a general rule for VR games.

Base-game graphics options and the VR plugin’s Resolution slider are separate considerations. NVIDIA’s Titanfall 2 PC graphics guide, published November 2, 2016, reports flat-game test results: Ambient Occlusion cost 9 FPS in its tests, while disabling ADS Depth of Field yielded a little over 1 FPS in most tested instances. Those results describe the guide’s tested PCs and flat-game conditions; they are not VR benchmarks.

For flat-game performance, NVIDIA’s guide recommends reducing Shadow, Effects, and Model detail, disabling Dynamic Spot Shadows, and considering disabling HBAO+ only after those changes. Its discussion of Adaptive Resolution FPS Target describes dynamically lowering rendering resolution when frame rate misses a target, with an image-quality cost. Do not assume that setting is equivalent to TinyBlkDog’s Resolution slider or that it behaves safely in VR: NVIDIA’s guide covers the original PC game, not this VR plugin.
