To play the Titanfall 2 VR mod, install Titanfall 2 on a Windows PC, open CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer, then start your headset’s VR runtime and select Launch in VR. Launching Titanfall 2 normally starts the unmodded game; the VR campaign uses a separate save.
What the Titanfall 2 VR mod does
Titanfall 2 VR is a community mod for the game’s single-player campaign, installed through CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer. It is not an official release from Respawn Entertainment or Electronic Arts. The project describes a VR campaign; its README does not establish multiplayer support. See the official project repository and README.
Because the project does not provide a complete headset compatibility matrix, minimum PC specifications, or a frame-rate target, confirm that your headset and runtime work with your PC before proceeding. Do not assume that every headset or runtime combination is supported.
What you need before installing
- A Windows PC with Titanfall 2 installed. The installer says it looks for the game in Steam, EA, or Xbox installations.
- The EA app. The installer checks for it, and its documentation says it is needed to play. If it is missing, the README advises launching Titanfall 2 once so the app can be installed.
- A PC-connected VR headset and its runtime. The project documentation says to start the VR runtime you use, but does not specify a universally compatible device or runtime.
How to install the Titanfall 2 VR mod
- Install Titanfall 2 through Steam, EA, or Xbox on your Windows PC. If you do not have the EA app, start Titanfall 2 once and follow the README’s advice to let it install.
- Download and open CircuitLord’s VR Mod Installer from the official project repository. Follow the installer prompts and allow it to locate your game installation.
- Let the installer set up Northstar and Titanfall 2 VR in a separate
TF2VRprofile in the game directory. The installer and mod are community projects, not releases from the game’s publisher or developer.
How to launch the mod with your headset
- Connect your headset to the PC and start the VR runtime it uses.
- Open CircuitLord’s installer and select Launch in VR.
- Wait for the modded campaign to start in the headset. Starting Titanfall 2 through its normal launcher continues to run the unmodded game, as the project README puts it: “Launching Titanfall 2 normally stays unmodded.”

Where the VR campaign saves progress
The installer documents %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR as the VR save location. The VR campaign starts a new save, so do not expect existing campaign progress to carry over.

Project status and limitations
The mod is a community project that can change over time. Check the official repository for current release information rather than relying on a version number or download size reported by older coverage. The installer source is MIT licensed, but the README says the installed mods are closed source and may not be redistributed without permission.
VR.org’s October 4, 2026 guide reported package version 1.0.12 and a size of 73.9 MB at that time; those are dated secondary-source figures, not a guarantee about the current release. It also reported 41,586 downloads across seven installer builds through October 3, 2026, while cautioning that repeat downloads mean this is not a player count. These figures do not indicate headset compatibility or performance.
