Before troubleshooting: confirm your A57 model and software
Firmware and instructions can vary by model, country, and carrier. Find your model under Settings > About phone, then check for updates at Settings > Software update. Samsung’s support page lists an Android 16 manual for the SM-A576B family, but that does not mean every region received identical software on the same date. Samsung Galaxy A57 support
Samsung’s 2026 update notices illustrate the regional variation: the SM-A576U1 notice lists an Android 16 release dated September 16, 2026, with a September 5, 2026 security patch level; the SM-A576B notice lists an Android 16 release dated August 31, 2026, with an August 5, 2026 patch level. Galaxy A57 won’t connect to Wi-Fi
Start by checking whether other devices can use the same Wi-Fi network. If they cannot, troubleshoot the router or internet service first; changing the phone’s settings will not fix an outage affecting the whole network.

- Check the phone’s connection: confirm Wi-Fi is on, then try disconnecting and reconnecting to the network.
- Reconnect to the network: if needed, forget the network and join it again using the correct password.
- Check the router: restart it if other devices also have trouble, and confirm the internet service is working.
- Reset network settings if the problem remains: this can remove saved network connections, so have the Wi-Fi password available before proceeding. Check the A57’s settings or Samsung support for the exact menu path for your software version.
- Update and diagnose: install any available phone software update, then run the relevant checks in Samsung Members.
If the A57 still cannot connect to multiple known-working networks, contact Samsung support. Samsung’s model support page indexes these as general Galaxy troubleshooting steps; it does not establish a specific A57 Wi-Fi defect. Samsung Galaxy A57 support
Galaxy A57 is charging slowly, intermittently, or not at all
Check the power source, cable, adapter, and phone connector before assuming the phone has failed. Use a known-good compatible outlet, adapter, and cable, and look for visible damage or debris. Do not insert tools or liquids into the USB-C port.

- If charging cuts in and out: check whether the cable or connector is visibly damaged and try another known-good compatible cable and power source.
- If charging is slow or does not start: test with a known-good compatible adapter, cable, and outlet. Samsung’s listed guidance covers slow or no charging, but the available information does not establish one wattage or charger for every regional A57 model. Check the manual for your exact model before choosing an adapter.
- If a moisture warning appears: do not force a cable connection or override the warning. Allow the device and connector to dry safely.
- If the hardware appears intact: restart the phone and check for an available software update.

An app crashes, freezes, or will not update
First determine whether only one app is affected or several. A problem isolated to one app points toward that app or its publisher; trouble across multiple apps may call for broader phone checks.

- Update the app: open Google Play Store and install any available update for it.
- Restart the phone: then check whether the app still crashes or freezes.
- Check system software: go to Settings > Software update and install an update if one is available for your model and region.
- If several apps are affected: close unneeded background apps, check available storage, and run relevant Samsung Members diagnostics.
- If one app remains affected: consult its publisher for app-specific support.

Galaxy A57 is slow or unresponsive
Restart the phone, install the latest update available for its exact model and region, close apps you are not using, and free storage if it is low. Samsung Members can help check for device issues. If the slowdown began right after you installed an app, investigate that app before considering a factory reset.

Treat a factory reset as a last resort: back up your data first and seek official support advice. The available Samsung guidance does not establish that a reset is necessary for any particular A57 problem. Samsung Galaxy A57 support

- Wi-Fi fails across multiple known-working networks after reconnecting, updating, and checking network settings.
- The charging port appears damaged, a moisture alert will not clear after safe drying, or the phone becomes unusually hot.
- Several apps or the phone itself remain unresponsive after restarting and installing available updates.
Samsung’s cited support materials provide general Galaxy troubleshooting, and its update notices show that software availability varies by model, country, and network operator. They do not publish a prevalence figure or establish that these symptoms are common A57 defects.
