First identify what went wrong
Monet is a third-party launcher for Android TV and Google TV. Its developer lists Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer as a requirement and documents the app package as com.klevico.monet. See the Monet developer repository.
There are two different situations to distinguish:
- Monet keeps opening when you press Home: turn off its optional Accessibility service, then choose the stock launcher.
- You disabled the stock launcher with ADB: enable the stock launcher package again. The package differs in the examples for Android TV and Google TV, so verify yours before running a command.
Stop Monet from intercepting Home
Monet’s optional Accessibility service supports launcher behavior, including detecting Home-key presses and launcher-window changes. The app listing says Monet works without the service: “You can disable it anytime; Monet works without it.” This refers to the Accessibility service, not to disabling the stock launcher. The Google Play listing for Monet describes the service as optional.
- Open the TV’s Settings and locate Accessibility. Menu names and paths vary by manufacturer and software version.
- Find Monet’s Accessibility service and switch it off.
- Press the remote’s Home button. If Android shows a home-app chooser, select the stock launcher.
- If no chooser appears, look in Settings for the home-app or default-app selection. The exact label and location depend on the device.
You do not need to uninstall Monet just to stop its Accessibility behavior. If you later decide to remove the app, use the device’s normal app-management screen. The developer also documents this ADB removal command: adb uninstall com.klevico.monet. Removing Monet is more disruptive than turning off its service and is not required for this recovery.

Re-enable the stock launcher if ADB disabled it
If the stock launcher package was disabled, turning off Monet’s Accessibility service will not re-enable it. Use ADB to enable the correct stock package. The following are package-name examples from a third-party device how-to, not a guarantee for every TV:

adb shell pm enable <package>
For a device confirmed to use com.google.android.tvlauncher, the command would be:
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.tvlauncher
Package names can vary by device. The cited TV Box Tools launcher how-to provides the examples above and warns that disabling the stock launcher and then uninstalling Monet can leave a device without a home screen. Confirm the package before using the command; do not substitute a package based only on the TV’s branding.

What to avoid if you cannot reach the home screen
- Do not uninstall the stock launcher as a first recovery step. If it is merely disabled, re-enable it rather than removing system software.
- Do not disable the stock launcher and then remove Monet unless you already have a recovery route.
- If you cannot open Settings or an ADB shell, there is no universal recovery command established for every manufacturer. Follow the maker’s instructions for your exact model and software version rather than assuming another device’s steps apply.
