Yes. The Logitech ASTRO A50 X can stay connected to an Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC or Mac at the same time. Its PLAYSYNC button switches the headset between those systems. The important distinction is that switching between Xbox and PS5 also switches the TV’s picture, while switching to PC changes headset audio only; PC video does not pass through the A50 X base station.
What “at the same time” means on the A50 X
All three supported systems can remain connected to the base station, but PLAYSYNC selects an active source rather than mixing game audio from all three systems together. Logitech’s manual says that when all three inputs are active, pressing the headset’s PLAYSYNC button cycles through Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, in that order. Video switching is limited to the console HDMI connections. Selecting Xbox or PS5 changes both the headset audio and the image sent to the display. Selecting PC changes headset audio; the PC’s video remains on its own display connection or input. Logitech explains this distinction in its A50 X launch announcement.
How to connect Xbox, PS5, and PC
The recommended console setup uses both HDMI and USB for each console. Connect each console to the matching labeled HDMI and USB ports on the A50 X base station, then connect the base station’s HDMI Out to the TV or display. Connect the PC to the base station’s PC USB audio port. Logitech documents the port layout and setup in the manual.

- Connect Xbox HDMI and USB to the base station’s Xbox-labeled ports.
- Connect PS5 HDMI and USB to the base station’s PlayStation-labeled ports.
- Connect the base station’s HDMI Out to the display.
- Connect PC USB to the base station’s PC audio port.
- Power on the systems you want available, then press the headset’s PLAYSYNC button to cycle among active inputs.
Keep each console’s HDMI and USB cables in the same labeled port group. Logitech warns that mixing those connections across groups prevents Game/Voice balance from working as intended. On PC, the base station exposes separate audio endpoints for game/media and voice chat, allowing those audio types to be routed separately.
What happens when you switch sources
- Xbox to PS5, or PS5 to Xbox: The base station switches console audio and the TV image. The display may briefly go dark during the change.
- Console to PC: The headset switches to PC audio. The A50 X does not switch PC video onto the TV through its HDMI output.
- Sleeping system: Logitech notes that switching inputs can wake a sleeping system in some cases.
The PLAYSYNC button is beneath the headset’s power switch. With all three systems active, the manual’s stated cycle is Xbox → PC → PlayStation. If a system is not active, the sequence may not include it.

HDMI 2.1 and what you need for video passthrough
Logitech advertises up to 4K at 120 Hz passthrough for the A50 X on its product page. That is a manufacturer specification, not an independent measurement. The manual states that HDMI 2.1 features require the source, cable, and display all to support HDMI 2.1; it lists the base station’s HDMI 2.1 ports as rated for 40 Gbps. Older HDMI equipment may still pass video and audio, but it will not provide every HDMI 2.1 capability.
Logitech lists HDMI cables as sold separately. Check that the console-to-base and base-to-display links, as well as the display and console, support the HDMI features you want; the headset’s three-system connection does not by itself guarantee 4K/120 Hz output.

When this setup makes sense
- Choose this arrangement if you want one headset connected to Xbox, PS5, and PC, with a headset button for changing the active audio source.
- It is especially useful if you want the A50 X to switch the TV image between Xbox and PS5 as well as switch headset audio.
- Plan to use a separate video connection or display input for PC, since PC video does not route through PLAYSYNC.
- Check HDMI 2.1 compatibility across the console, cables, and display if preserving supported high-bandwidth video features matters to you.
