The item-page price alone is not the total: check what is collected at checkout and whether any charge could still be due on delivery.
Compare the same release, not just the same film
A standard case release, steelbook, collector’s edition, and used copy can have different contents and prices even when they feature the same film. Before comparing sellers, confirm the edition, condition, and included discs. For an import, check playback compatibility for each disc in the package; do not assume bonus discs have the same compatibility as the main film disc.

Build a delivered-cost comparison
Use the address where you will actually receive the order. Destination and shipping method can affect delivery availability and charges, so a total shown for another country or address may not apply to you.

| Possible later charges | Whether the seller says customs or other charges may be collected when the parcel arrives. |
| Returns | Return eligibility, process, and any costs if the item is unsuitable or arrives damaged. |
Record those details for each seller and compare the full checkout amount, not just the disc’s listed price. An estimate or an item-page price does not prove that no further charge can arise. Amazon says applicable import fees can depend on destination customs rules, product category and price, and shipping method; other sellers may have different terms. Understand what checkout includes
Amazon Global Store
Amazon UK’s Global Store help page says its international products show a complete amount in the customer’s currency, including import duties, taxes, and fees, with estimated delivery rates displayed below the item price. The same page says Global Store items are available for delivery within the UK only. Check the live listing and checkout because service availability and listing details may change. Import-fee deposits and charges
Amazon’s terms describe collecting an Import Fees Deposit or Import Charges where applicable. That is not a universal arrangement: sellers differ in what they collect in advance and what may be payable later. Review the order’s checkout breakdown and terms. Amazon’s Global Store Terms and Conditions state: “Your order may be subject to local taxes in the UK (or your delivery country) and if VAT does not apply, you are responsible for paying any taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by customs authorities in the UK or your delivery country.” Amazon Global Store Terms and Conditions

Delivery estimates and route-specific charges
Amazon’s international delivery page gives route-specific delivery-rate examples for media and notes that some US deliveries may incur state and local sales taxes. For a UK delivery address, use the live GOV.UK guidance on tax and duty for goods sent from abroad, along with the Trade Tariff lookup. GOV.UK says that for goods above £135, the Customs Duty rate depends on the type of goods and where they came from; the tariff lookup can help identify commodity codes and check tax or duty. This is UK-specific guidance, and £135 is not a universal threshold for all taxes or destinations. If you are elsewhere, consult your own government’s current customs guidance. A quick way to choose between listings
- Identify the exact release. Match the edition, condition, and included discs.
- Enter your delivery address. Confirm that the seller will ship there and that the displayed delivery estimate applies.
- Open checkout. Note the item price, shipping, taxes, and any import deposit or charge.
- Read the order terms. Look for language about charges that could be collected on delivery and check the return terms.
- Check official customs guidance. Use the government resource for your destination if you need to understand possible duties or taxes not settled by the seller.
- Compare final costs and trade-offs. Prefer the lower total only when the edition, delivery, return terms, and potential later charges are acceptable.
