Open Source Summit India was scheduled for August 5, 2025, in Hyderabad, India. The announcement carried a Hyderabad dateline of July 8, while its publication page was dated July 9, 2025.

It was scheduled immediately before KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India, which took place on August 6–7, 2025, also in Hyderabad, according to the official KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India event page. The summit and KubeCon were separate events with different stated scopes; the announcement described Open Source Summit India as a broad forum for open-source education and collaboration.
