Its fingerprint speed and “AI learning” language come from DESLOC’s own claims, not independent testing. Whether it fits your door—and whether you need the optional G2 Gateway—are the key questions to settle before buying.
What the DESLOC B200 offers
The B200 is sold as a deadbolt and in handle-set or lever-handle configurations. Depending on the configuration and setup, DESLOC lists fingerprint recognition, PIN codes, physical keys, eKeys or fobs, app control, and voice control through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Check the listing for the exact variant and included accessories.
DESLOC describes the fingerprint feature as “Next-generation fingerprint unlocking technology, upgraded through AI learning and validated by millions of users.” That is manufacturer wording; independent evidence verifying the AI claim or the number of users was not located.
Fingerprint speed and what is independently established
DESLOC specifies fingerprint recognition in less than 0.3 seconds for the B200 deadbolt. This is a vendor-stated figure, not an independently measured result. No independent test figure was found for recognition accuracy, false acceptance or rejection rates, or how performance changes with different fingers or conditions.

Bluetooth, app control and the G2 Gateway
Bluetooth control works within a stated distance of 2 meters, according to DESLOC. The optional G2 Gateway is for remote control and scheduled temporary codes; it is not necessary for Bluetooth control at the lock. If you need to operate the lock while away from home, check that the package includes the gateway or budget for the separately sold accessory. The product information does not establish that every app feature works remotely without it.
Will the B200 fit your door?
Compatibility depends on the lock configuration and the door’s existing hardware. DESLOC’s handle-set FAQ says that configuration fits single-cylinder doors and is generally used on wooden doors. It says mortise or integrated locks are not compatible and steel doors are generally unsuitable without drilling or other modifications.

Before ordering, compare your door and existing lock against the exact configuration’s installation specifications. In particular, confirm:
- Door thickness and the existing bore dimensions.
- Backset, measured from the door edge to the center of the bore.
- Door handing and whether the selected model supports it.
- Whether the current lock is a single-cylinder deadbolt or a mortise/integrated design.
DESLOC describes installation as screwdriver-friendly, but that does not guarantee a drop-in fit. A door that needs new holes or other changes may require more work or professional help.

Battery life, emergency power and environmental rating
The B200 uses four AA batteries. DESLOC estimates around 12 months of battery life, while warning that actual life varies with use. The lock has a low-battery indicator and a USB-C emergency-power option. The emergency connection is a backup power measure; it does not replace keeping working batteries installed.
DESLOC lists an IP54 water- and dust-protection rating and an operating temperature range of -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C). Those specifications do not by themselves establish suitability for every exposed exterior location; consider the installation site and the manufacturer’s instructions.

Security features—and the limits of the available evidence
Published B200 features include auto-lock, privacy mode, and anti-peeping code protection. These provide convenience and access-control functions, but they are not proof that the lock resists every physical or digital attack. No independent security test, certification, biometric-accuracy study, or long-term reliability result was found for the B200. Treat DESLOC’s security and performance statements as product claims rather than independently verified findings.
Which B200 configuration should you consider?
Official listings show a deadbolt-only model, handle-set and lever-handle variants, and bundles that include the G2 Gateway. A retailer listing also confirms distribution of a handle/lever configuration. Choose based on your existing door hardware and whether remote access is important; do not assume that a gateway or a particular handle style is included unless the specific package says so.
