Amazon Prime Video Watch Party appears to have been discontinued, so there is no dependable current Amazon setup flow for creating or joining one. A report in an Amazon customer forum says the feature was removed in April 2024, and Amazon’s current help pages do not describe a Watch Party button or workflow. You can still stream Prime Video on supported devices, but ordinary playback does not synchronize a film for remote viewers.
Is Prime Video Watch Party still available?
It does not appear to be available as a current Amazon feature. The reported removal date is April 2024, according to an Amazon customer-forum result; the result does not show a publication date. Amazon’s current Prime Video help center lists supported devices and playback rules, but no instructions for creating or joining a Watch Party.
That means there is no reliable current Amazon menu path or button to follow. If a guide tells you to choose “Watch Party” from a title page, it may describe the former feature or a region-specific experience rather than a workflow available to you now.

Why can’t I find Watch Party on Amazon Prime?
The most likely reason is that the feature has been discontinued. Amazon’s current help pages cover ordinary playback rather than Watch Party creation or joining. Changing devices, buying a Fire TV Stick, or reinstalling Prime Video cannot restore a feature that is no longer offered.

How did Amazon Watch Party work when it existed?
The following are historical requirements recorded on a third-party troubleshooting page dated April 28, 2022. They are not current setup instructions:
- Supported access: The host and participants needed an up-to-date desktop browser or a supported Prime Video app. The page said Watch Party was unavailable on smart TVs, game consoles, connected media players, and some mobile-device configurations.
- Same country: The host and each participant had to be in the same country.
- Access to the title: Each viewer needed a Prime or Prime Video entitlement, or had to rent or buy the title.
- No VPN: VPN use could prevent access.
- Participant limit: The historical maximum was 100 participants.
These restrictions describe the former feature only. They do not establish that an Amazon Watch Party can be started today.

Can you watch Amazon Prime Video with friends remotely?
You can each play Prime Video separately, but Amazon’s current ordinary-playback rules do not provide synchronized remote viewing. Without an available Amazon Watch Party workflow, viewers would have to coordinate playback themselves; Amazon does not document a current native feature that keeps everyone’s stream in sync.
Third-party synchronized-viewing services may change over time and can differ in supported regions, device and browser compatibility, chat or voice options, privacy practices, and whether each person must have their own subscription or title rental. No specific provider is recommended here because a current service and its compatibility with Prime Video are not established.

What devices support ordinary Prime Video viewing?
Amazon’s supported-devices information includes Amazon devices, Blu-ray players, game consoles, mobile devices, set-top boxes and media players, and smart TVs. Its Usage Rules also describe streaming through a web browser and compatible TVs, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, Fire tablets, and other compatible devices. Availability can vary by region and device.
Amazon identifies Fire TV and Fire TV Stick as Prime Video devices. Streaming quality can reach Ultra HD depending on the model and content, but these devices enable local Prime Video playback—not the discontinued Watch Party feature.

How many streams can use one Amazon account?
Amazon’s Prime Video Usage Rules state: “You can stream up to three titles at the same time using the same Amazon account. You can stream the same title to no more than two devices at a time.” These are limits for ordinary playback, not a way to synchronize a remote group. Regional restrictions may apply.
