Caylent announced on April 7, 2026, that it acquired Pronetx, an Amazon Connect and AWS-native customer-experience (CX) specialist. Caylent says the deal expands its AI-first services into contact-center design, migration, operations, and ongoing development. The announcement did not disclose the purchase price or other financial terms.

What Pronetx brings to Caylent

Pronetx specializes in Amazon Connect, AWS’s cloud contact-center service, and related omnichannel CX solutions. Caylent described the acquisition as adding the customer-engagement layer to its work across AWS infrastructure, applications, data, and managed operations.

The companies’ descriptions point to a combination of professional services and software, rather than a consumer product. The announcement and Caylent’s service page identify several areas of work:

  • Contact-center modernization: helping organizations replace legacy platforms or update existing contact-center environments, including through Caylent Accelerate.
  • Amazon Connect implementation and expansion: designing and building AWS-based contact-center systems, including for organizations already using Amazon Connect.
  • AI-enabled engagement: adding AI and self-service capabilities to customer interactions.
  • Operations and ongoing improvement: managing and evolving CX systems after implementation.
  • CxPortal: Pronetx’s software product, which the announcement says will be integrated with Caylent’s agentic managed-services platform.

Caylent presents these as capabilities of its expanded services. The descriptions do not independently establish that every implementation will produce a particular business outcome. Nor does the announcement confirm that the CxPortal integration is complete: it describes the work as planned.

Why Caylent says it made the acquisition

Caylent’s stated rationale is to extend its AI-first AWS work into customer experience. Contact centers connect customer interactions with an organization’s cloud systems, data, and service operations; Caylent says bringing Pronetx into the company will let it offer a broader set of CX services, from design and migration to operation and continued development.

In its announcement, Caylent CEO Valerie Henderson said: “The intelligent enterprise is not complete until customer experience catches up. The Pronetx team has focused on solving exactly that problem for some of the most demanding organizations in the world.”

AWS also endorsed the strategic importance of the area. Pasquale DeMaio, AWS vice president of Amazon Connect, said in the same announcement: “Customer experience is rapidly emerging as one of the most important AI use cases in the enterprise, and Amazon Connect sits at the intersection of cloud, data, and generative AI.” These statements express the companies’ perspectives; they are not independent assessments of the deal’s market impact.

What the reported customer examples show—and do not show

Caylent and AWS have published project examples involving Amazon Connect. They illustrate the kinds of deployments at issue, but their figures should be read as claims about specific projects, not as typical results or guarantees.

Example What the source reports How to interpret it
Federal agency migration Caylent’s 2026 acquisition announcement says the project involved 5,000 agents and handled more than 350,000 calls per day. Caylent says the migration took under 60 days and had zero downtime. These are Caylent’s figures for one migration, not an independently audited or typical benchmark.
New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) AWS’s 2026 Architecture Blog says NYCBS handled more than 250,000 patient calls per year across over 100 queues before migration. AWS says the engagement covered discovery and foundation, build and implementation, and acceptance testing and go-live over 13 weeks. The case study reports a 54 percent improvement in patient enrollment after the move to Amazon Connect. This is an AWS-published account of one customer case. The reported enrollment improvement should not be generalized to other organizations or treated as proof of a universal outcome.

How to assess the expanded offer

The deal is most relevant to organizations considering a contact-center change or looking to extend an existing Amazon Connect deployment. The useful questions are about scope and operating model—not a direct comparison with a consumer device or a like-for-like product.

  • Starting point: Are you replacing a legacy contact-center platform, expanding Amazon Connect already in use, or adding AI self-service to a narrower part of the experience?
  • Delivery scope: Do you need strategy and design, migration and implementation, or continuing operation and evolution after launch?
  • AI role: Which interactions should use AI or self-service, and how should those capabilities fit with the existing contact-center workflow?
  • Operational visibility: If multi-region management or configuration visibility matters, ask how the proposed tooling supports those needs and what is included in the service.
  • Evidence and commitments: Request project-specific references, delivery assumptions, service boundaries, and performance measures. The public descriptions do not provide independently comparable prices or performance benchmarks.

AWS’s partner directory lists Pronetx as part of Caylent and includes a customer-success example. Separately, in June 2026 Caylent announced a multi-year AWS Strategic Collaboration Agreement that it said would expand customer-engagement work built on the Pronetx acquisition. That announcement was distributed through PR Newswire; it does not provide the full agreement terms.
