On September 29, 2023, Anduril described the broader Ghost platform as an autonomous uncrewed aircraft for reconnaissance, security, and force protection, and introduced the newer Ghost-X variant. The company said Ghost supports modular sensors, communications, navigation, and other mission payloads. It attributed enhanced flight performance, the ability to carry multiple payloads, and greater resilience to Ghost-X. The announcement gives no comparable numerical specifications for Ghost 4 and Ghost-X, and does not confirm that every payload described in 2020 is part of a current Ghost 4 configuration.
