It has concluded, and registration is closed. The main conference ran July 29–30, following a co-located-events day on July 28. Organizers direct people who missed it to session recordings on the CNCF YouTube channel.
What was KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Japan 2026?
Organized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and The Linux Foundation, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon is a flagship gathering for people who build, use, and contribute to cloud-native open-source technology. The Japan event brought together CNCF project communities, adopters, and technologists for talks, learning, and collaboration. The official event page confirms it took place in Yokohama and is now over.
The program covered topics including Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, platform engineering, observability, networking, distributed systems, AI infrastructure, project communities, and career development. Sessions and keynotes were in English. The organizer’s event context describes Japan’s cloud-native developer community and infrastructure strategy; those descriptions are event framing, not independently verified industry measurements.
When were the conference and co-located events?
The event ran July 28–30, 2026, but the three dates did not all have the same format. The published schedule separated co-located programming from the two-day main conference:

| Date | Program |
|---|---|

| Thursday, July 30 | Main conference: keynotes, breakouts, and Solutions Showcase |
Was there a virtual option?
No. The event FAQ describes the conference as in person and says there was no virtual component. The two main-conference days included keynotes, sessions across 10+ tracks, tutorials, and networking. The official FAQ says session recordings would be available publicly afterward; this was not a live-stream option.
Where can you watch recordings or find slides?
The event landing page points viewers to recordings on the CNCF YouTube channel. The schedule said recordings would appear within two weeks of the conference. It also notes that slides are available for sessions when speakers provided them; not every session is guaranteed to have slides. The organizer’s recording statements concern post-event availability and do not establish that every co-located event was recorded.

Can you still register, and what did registration include?
No. The 2026 registration rate windows have expired, so the listed ticket prices are historical rather than current offers. The registration page used three categories:
- Corporate: Company-funded attendance, including for-profit companies and government employees.
- Individual: Self-funded attendees and people from nonprofits or research institutions.
- Academic: Eligible full-time students, faculty, and staff; proof of status could be requested.
Registration included access to keynotes, sessions, tutorials, networking and social activities, the Solutions Showcase and Project Pavilion, meals and refreshments, a conference T-shirt, an LF Education training discount, and post-event on-demand recordings. The organizer set July 15, 2026, as the cancellation-refund deadline and described a 6% processing fee; those terms applied to past registrations.
How large was the event expected to be?
The 2026 CNCF and Linux Foundation sponsorship prospectus listed 2,000+ estimated attendees, 400+ participating companies, and 70+ speakers. The prospectus warned that the attendance estimate could fluctuate and did not guarantee final attendance. These are organizer estimates and event-overview figures, not a confirmed final attendance count. No final attendance total is established in the available official material. For the event’s recorded sessions, start with the CNCF YouTube channel linked above. Use the official schedule to identify session titles and check for slides where speakers supplied them. Since registration has expired and the conference is over, there is no remaining 2026 ticket or virtual attendance option.
