What Ultimate Ears announced
Logitech’s June 26, 2024 announcement introduced EVERBOOM as a durable portable speaker with 360-degree sound and updated three existing speakers. North American availability began that day; Logitech said other regions were expected to follow in the subsequent months, with regional availability and pricing varying.
At launch, the company’s North American manufacturer’s suggested retail prices were:

What EVERBOOM offers
Ultimate Ears positions EVERBOOM for use outside as well as indoors. Logitech’s announcement describes it as waterproof, dustproof, floatable, and designed to withstand drops and water exposure. The 2024 datasheet specifies IP67 protection: immersion in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes under the rating’s stated conditions. These are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee against damage in every situation.
Outdoor features and pairing
- Outdoor Boost: A dedicated button activates a sound setting Ultimate Ears says is intended to optimize audio outdoors.
- NFC pairing: Logitech says compatible NFC-equipped Android phones running Android 8.0 or later can pair with a tap.
- Carabiner: The speaker includes a carabiner for carrying or attachment.
- Multiple sources: The datasheet lists simultaneous connection to two source devices.
Size, sound, and battery figures
The 2024 datasheet lists dimensions of 110 × 85 × 205 mm and a speaker-only weight of 960 g. Its two 56.5 × 56.5 mm active full-range transducers are paired with two 49.4 × 87 mm passive radiators.

Ultimate Ears rates playback at up to 20 hours at default volume (42%); actual battery life varies with use, settings, and environment. The launch announcement claims Bluetooth range up to 55 metres (180 feet), which can vary with conditions. For maximum sound level, the datasheet lists 84 dBC normal and 85 dBC outdoor in an anechoic chamber, and 90 dBC normal and 91 dBC outdoor on a ground plane. It cautions that actual sound pressure varies by environment. The document also specifies a charge time under three hours when using a higher-output 15 W PD adapter.
How the updated speakers differ
The WONDERBOOM 4, BOOM 4, and MEGABOOM 4 were refreshed companion models, rather than new names for EVERBOOM. Logitech said all three received new colors, recycled materials, and USB-C charging ports. BOOM 4 and MEGABOOM 4 gained enhanced deep-bass radiators, while WONDERBOOM 4 gained a podcast mode.

Logitech’s launch announcement gave minimum certified post-consumer recycled plastic content by weight, excluding packaging, as follows. It described the fabric on all four launch speakers as 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.

EVERBOOM vs. MEGABOOM 4: what to compare
Both speakers are advertised with up to 20 hours of playback. RTINGS’ comparison describes both as IP67-rated and advertised as impact-resistant; it characterizes EVERBOOM as somewhat heavier and louder, and identifies NFC, a carabiner, and Outdoor mode as EVERBOOM features the MEGABOOM 4 lacks. Those distinctions may matter more than the shared headline runtime.

- Check the price where you live: the June 2024 North American launch MSRPs do not establish current pricing elsewhere.

At launch, Ultimate Ears general manager Jonah Staw said EVERBOOM was intended to combine robustness with sound quality and suit users’ activities. That is the company’s description of its product, not an independent evaluation.
For buyers comparing the wider lineup, Logitech’s current BOOM 4 product page lists IP67 protection, floatability, up to 15 hours of battery life, and PartyUp pairing with compatible product families. Its MEGABOOM 4 product page lists floatability, PartyUp compatibility, and up to 20 hours of playback. Logitech notes that actual battery life varies with use, settings, and conditions. Its Ultimate Ears speaker lineup describes app-based pairing for BOOM, MEGABOOM, EVERBOOM, EPICBOOM, and HYPERBOOM; its waterproofing guidance advises checking the rating for the specific model.
