Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo set up stereo pairing, first add two matching Google Nest Audio speakers separately in the Google Home app. Then select one speaker, open Settings > Audio > Stereo pair, choose both speakers, assign the left and right channels, and finish naming the pair. Keep them in the same room, about 4–8 feet (1.2–2.4 metres) apart.
Before you start
- Use two Google Nest Audio speakers. Stereo pairing requires two devices of the same model, placed in the same room.
- Set up each speaker separately in the Google Home app first; both should appear as individual device tiles.
- Place the speakers on solid, level surfaces, roughly 4–8 feet (1.2–2.4 metres) apart, ideally in the same room.
- Use a phone or tablet connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the speakers, or signed in to the same linked Google Account.
Pair the speakers in Google Home
- Open the Google Home app. Depending on the app version, open the Home or Devices view (Google’s documented flow may call it All devices).
- Touch and hold the tile for either Nest Audio speaker.
- Tap Settings > Audio > Stereo pair > Next.
- Select the two Nest Audio speakers you want to pair, then tap Next.
- Wait for one speaker to blink white and play a sound. In the app, assign that speaker as Left or Right according to its physical position. Repeat the identification if prompted.
- Choose the room for the pair and give it a name. Tap Next, then Done.
Google’s support instructions require both devices to be the same model and located in the same room. The channel assignment matters: make sure the speaker identified as Left is physically on your left when you face the listening area.
What changes after pairing
- Media controls operate the stereo pair rather than either speaker individually.
- Voice-assistant, device, and sound settings apply to the pair.
- Only the left speaker listens for the assistant, while both speakers respond at the same time.
- You can add the stereo pair to a speaker group; the pair acts as one device in that group.
Separate a stereo pair
- Make sure your phone or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as the speakers or signed in to the same linked Google Account.
- In Google Home, open the stereo-pair tile and tap Settings > Separate stereo pair > Separate.
After separation, Google says the speaker that had been assigned to the right channel must be relinked to the Google Account.
If one speaker appears offline
Google’s troubleshooting guidance is to separate the stereo pair and pair the speakers again. Once both individual speakers are available in Google Home, repeat the pairing steps and check the left/right assignment.
