The Hubsan H107D X4 FPV is a tiny quadcopter built around the novelty of flying by a live camera feed: its controller has a screen, so you can see what the aircraft sees. That makes it an interesting recreational flyer, not a good choice for recording polished aerial video. Hubsan advertises up to seven minutes of flight per charge, its camera specifications conflict with a 2015 review, and the manufacturer currently lists the aircraft as out of stock.
What is the Hubsan H107D X4 FPV?
Hubsan identifies the H107D as a four-channel X4 FPV quadcopter. Its defining feature is first-person-view video sent to the included controller, rather than a camera intended to produce high-quality footage. Tech Advisor describes the controller display as a 4.3-inch color screen. Hubsan lists the aircraft at 3.2 × 3.2 inches; New Atlas describes a 114mm diagonal span. These are differently expressed size measurements, not directly comparable dimensions.
The package list on Hubsan’s H107D product listing includes the aircraft, controller, USB charging cable, propellers, wrench, propeller protection cover, and manual. That official page currently marks the product out of stock, so this review should be read as an assessment of an older model rather than a guide to a readily available new drone.
How does it fly, and how long does the battery last?
Hubsan advertises a maximum flight time of seven minutes. New Atlas reviewer Ben Coxworth also reported about seven minutes from a charge in his 2014 review. Treat that as a short session, not a guarantee for a used aircraft: battery age, condition, and handling can affect what an individual example manages. Hubsan lists a 100-meter distance, but that is a manufacturer specification, not an independently verified range or assurance of a reliable video link at that distance.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Hubsan’s specification block says the battery is a 3.7V 380mAh LiPo and lists a 30-minute charging time. New Atlas likewise describes a 380mAh battery and around 30 minutes to charge. However, Hubsan’s own included-box list names a 3.7V 530mAh battery. Because the product page is internally inconsistent, do not order a replacement based on capacity alone. If you already own one and are looking for a Hubsan H107D replacement battery 3.7V, verify the connector, physical dimensions, model compatibility, and capacity against your aircraft and its documentation.
Can the H107D record good video?
No, not if “good” means impressive aerial footage. The available specifications disagree about resolution: Hubsan’s current listing says 720×480, while Tech Advisor’s 2015 review describes a 640×480 camera. Both point to basic, low-resolution video rather than modern camera-drone quality. New Atlas found the lens narrow and image quality limited.

New Atlas also reported glitches in the live picture reaching the controller. On the unit Coxworth reviewed, video was recorded to a Micro SD card in the controller, so those transmission glitches appeared in the recorded footage too. This is an observation about that review setup, not proof that every H107D behaves identically. In practical terms, the camera is best understood as part of the flying experience: useful for seeing the view from the aircraft, but not a reason to buy it as an aerial-video camera.
What are the ownership and safety drawbacks?
A very small aircraft and short flights make this a recreational, practice-oriented product. Its screen and FPV view may be engaging, but a few minutes aloft leaves little room for an extended outing. Tech Advisor’s review found the aircraft could be rewarding with practice and extra batteries; that is a review-era observation, not a statement about present-day battery availability or total cost.

There is also a unit-specific maintenance caution. Coxworth reported awkward battery-wire stowage and a short developing after repeated manipulation of the battery wiring in his review unit. That does not establish a failure rate, but it is a reason to inspect an existing aircraft’s wiring and battery compartment rather than repeatedly forcing or bending the wires.
The indexed X4 manual warns that the aircraft has fast-moving parts and says not to recharge the battery while it is installed in the X4. Follow the manual that matches your aircraft and charger. For a used example, battery condition, spare-part availability, and video-link reliability should be checked rather than assumed. Any flight should also comply with the rules that apply where you live; those rules are not established by the product listing or historical reviews.

Is the Hubsan X4 FPV worth buying?
It makes sense only for a buyer who specifically wants the novelty of flying a tiny quadcopter through a controller-mounted screen and accepts short flights and basic video. It is a poor fit for someone whose main goal is recording attractive aerial footage, or who wants dependable current support and easy access to a new aircraft. Since Hubsan currently lists the model as out of stock, evaluate any used listing as an older product: check that the aircraft, controller, screen, battery, charging equipment, and any needed spares are present and working before judging the price. The available evidence does not establish current prices, stock, or a present-day value comparison with alternatives.
