For a competing-brand alternative with the clearest published specifications, consider XREAL One Pro. Its 57° field of view is close to RayNeo GT Max’s 59°, and it adds native spatial display modes—but it is not a drop-in choice for every device: the host must output video over USB-C DisplayPort, and the glasses come in two IPD ranges. If you want a lighter option within RayNeo’s own range, compare the RayNeo GT. Choose based on fit, source-device compatibility, and how you want the screen positioned, not on virtual-screen “inch” claims made under different conditions.
Which RayNeo GT Max alternative should you consider?
XREAL One Pro is the strongest documented alternative here for people comparing display glasses for movies, gaming, or a portable virtual monitor. XREAL lists a 57° field of view, 1920 × 1080 resolution, up to 120 Hz, native 3DoF support, and an 87 g weight. RayNeo lists GT Max at 59°, 1920 × 1080, 120 Hz in 2D and 60 Hz in 3D, and 78 g. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from a controlled side-by-side test.
The best fit depends on your setup: check whether your phone, tablet, computer, or other source can output video to glasses; confirm that the frame’s IPD range suits you; and decide whether spatial screen positioning matters. The available specifications do not establish which model looks better in real use.

When XREAL One Pro is the better match
You want native spatial screen positioning
XREAL lists native 3DoF support for One Pro. Its product page describes Anchor Mode as enabling “both 3DoF and 6DoF spatial anchoring, letting you fix your screen anywhere.” That is XREAL’s description of the feature, not an independent assessment of how well it works. If you want the display to remain positioned in space rather than simply follow your gaze, this capability is a meaningful point to compare.
Your source device supports DisplayPort video over USB-C
Check the source device’s specifications for USB-C DisplayPort output before buying. The shape of the connector is not enough: a USB-C port may support charging or data without supporting video output. If your device does not provide the required signal, One Pro may not work as intended without a compatible adapter or another supported output path; the cited XREAL product page specifies the host requirement but does not establish compatibility for every device or adapter.

You can verify the frame fit
XREAL sells One Pro in two IPD ranges, 57–66 mm and 66–75 mm. Compare your interpupillary distance with the product’s available frame sizes and check the seller’s fit guidance before ordering. RayNeo GT Max, by contrast, is listed with three fit sizes selected at purchase. Neither count alone proves that a frame will be comfortable for a particular person.
When RayNeo GT Max remains the better choice
GT Max may suit you better if you prefer RayNeo’s listed 78 g weight, want its 59° field of view, or need its stated 120 Hz 2D / 60 Hz 3D modes. Those values are manufacturer specifications, not a finding that it is more comfortable or visually superior to One Pro. Fit and how you plan to use the glasses should carry more weight than a small difference in published field of view.

RayNeo’s European product page also describes pairing GT Max with Pocket TV Pro to add Google TV, streaming apps, expandable storage, and Dolby Vision support. Treat this as an optional streaming setup, and check regional availability and compatibility before purchase. A companion device is not implied to be necessary for every video source.

RayNeo GT is an alternative within the same brand rather than a competing-brand choice. RayNeo’s comparison frames it as the lighter model with a narrower field of view than GT Max. That trade-off may work if weight matters more to you than the wider view; use RayNeo’s current product comparison and fit information to check the exact model details for your market.

- YOUR PRIVATE 147” BIG SCREEN, ANYWHERE — Plug the a01+ into your phone, tablet, handheld, or laptop and a giant 147” screen appears in front of you—for movies, gaming, or getting work done on the couch, on a flight, or in bed. A true portable display you wear, in a soda-can-sized 210g case that drops in your pocket.
- ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU — The screen follows your view with smooth, stabilized tracking and stays centered as you look around—nothing to anchor or set up, and no drift to reset. Press play and your big screen is simply there.
- 62G — LIGHT ENOUGH TO FORGET — At just 62g, with three nose-pad sizes and flexible temples, the a01+ stays comfortable through a long movie or flight, even lying down.
- LOOKS LIKE SUNGLASSES, NOT A GADGET — A slim, sunglasses-style frame with a signature semi-transparent chassis and neon logo—light and low-profile enough to actually wear out.
- WORKS WITH YOUR USB-C GEAR — No Battery to Charge — Connects and powers over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable: iPhone 15/16/17, iPad, DP-capable Android phones, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Mac and PC. Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and older (Lightning) iPhones need an adapter. For long phone sessions, add the XREAL Hub to charge and watch at once.
How to choose for your setup
- Confirm video output. Identify the device that will drive the glasses and verify its supported video output. For XREAL One Pro, XREAL specifies USB-C DisplayPort output at the host.
- Check fit before ordering. Compare your IPD with XREAL One Pro’s 57–66 mm or 66–75 mm ranges, or review RayNeo GT Max’s three purchase-time fit choices.
- Choose the screen behavior you need. If spatial anchoring is important, compare XREAL’s stated native spatial modes with the functions listed for the RayNeo model in your region.
- Match refresh rate to your use. RayNeo lists 120 Hz in 2D and 60 Hz in 3D for GT Max; XREAL lists up to 120 Hz for One Pro. These figures do not establish that every host, app, or mode will run at the maximum rate.
- Price the complete setup. Compare the glasses plus any compatible source device, adapters, or optional streaming companion you actually need. Current prices and total setup costs are not established by the cited product information, so check retailer and regional listings.
What about VITURE Pro 2 and Rokid Max 2?
VITURE Pro 2 is a possible alternative, but the available comparison is a Tom’s Guide hands-on review, not a verified set of current primary specifications. The reviewer called it lighter and less expensive than the RayNeo GT Max discussed in that article and preferred it after wearing several budget models. Those are that reviewer’s judgments in a particular comparison, not universal rankings. Check current official specifications, compatibility, fit, and local pricing before treating it as a direct match.
Rokid Max 2 also appears in a reader’s question comparing it with a RayNeo GT Max and Pocket TV Pro. That establishes an example of a setup question, not verified product specifications or evidence of quality. Without checked current official details, it cannot be responsibly ranked against GT Max or One Pro here.
