It is worth comparing if those controls and looks fit your desk and typing habits. If you mainly want a familiar layout or a particular stock switch feel, compare the exact layout, switch option, keycap profile and battery evidence before buying.
What makes the Glyph different?
EPOMAKER lists the Glyph as an 83-key, 75% ANSI US-layout keyboard with a TFT screen, customizable rotary knob, rechargeable 8,000mAh battery, top-mount construction and a hot-swappable PCB. It connects by USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth, and the manufacturer lists compatibility with Windows, Mac and Android. EPOMAKER’s Glyph product page describes it as a retro-typewriter keyboard with round PBT keycaps, a smart screen and five-layer acoustics.
Controls and appearance
The standout details are the round caps, dual displays and a lever that serves as Enter when pushed up and Backspace when pulled down, as described in Tom’s Guide’s review. Those features make the Glyph visually and operationally unusual; they are useful differentiators only if you like the look and want those controls in daily use. If you prefer an understated board, a conventional compact layout may be a better fit.
Size and layout
Tom’s Guide gives the Glyph’s dimensions as 13.66 × 8.14 × 2.24 inches and its weight as 2.59 lb. The 75% designation and 83-key count are more useful than the label alone when comparing boards: compact layouts do not all retain the same navigation and function keys. Check the actual key arrangement against the shortcuts and navigation keys you use.

What comes in the box
EPOMAKER lists a silicone wrist rest, detachable USB-A-to-C cable, 2.4GHz receiver, three extra switches, two extra silicone stands, a switch/keycap puller and a multilingual manual alongside the keyboard. The product page cautions that packaging and accessories may vary slightly.
Compare the layout, not just the percentage
The Glyph’s 75%/83-key ANSI layout is close in size category to the 80%/84-key EPOMAKER G84, but the percentage and key count do not tell you exactly where every key sits. Compare the key map: decide whether you need dedicated navigation keys, how you access function-row commands, and whether the resulting footprint suits your desk.
| Feature | EPOMAKER Glyph | EPOMAKER G84 |
|---|---|---|
| Layout | 75%, 83-key ANSI US layout (EPOMAKER) | 80%, 84-key ANSI layout (EPOMAKER) |
| Connection | USB-C, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth (EPOMAKER) | Cable, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 (EPOMAKER) |
| Battery capacity | 8,000mAh (EPOMAKER) | 4,000mAh (EPOMAKER) |
| Battery runtime claim | Not stated on the cited product page; Tom’s Guide reported its review unit needed recharging after about 20 hours in the reviewer’s high-screen, high-RGB setup | EPOMAKER states 15 hours with backlight on or 400 hours with it off; manufacturer figures, not independent test results |
| Keycaps | Round PBT keycaps (EPOMAKER) | Cherry-profile PBT double-shot keycaps (EPOMAKER) |
| Mount | Top mount (EPOMAKER) | Gasket mount (EPOMAKER) |
| Hot-swap | 3-pin or 5-pin switches (EPOMAKER); Tom’s Guide specifies south-facing mechanical switches | 3-pin or 5-pin switches (EPOMAKER) |
The table compares manufacturer-listed specifications, except where a review observation is explicitly identified. The EPOMAKER G84 product page is a concrete alternative if you want a more conventional 80% layout and Cherry-profile caps. A top mount and a gasket mount describe different construction approaches; neither is automatically better for every typist.

The hot-swappable F75 MAX comes with plate-mount stabilizers but is compatible with 3/5-pin mechanical switches and screw-in stabilizers for experimenting typing feel and sound, while the software offers key remapping and macro editing for efficiency and accessibility
Choose by switch feel and customization
Tom’s Guide says its reviewed Glyph configuration used linear Wisteria V2 switches and describes the sound as somewhere between “creamy and clacky”—a subjective impression, not a standardized sound rating. The review notes that the stock offering it tested had one switch option. Stock choices can vary by region or later product listing, so check the exact SKU if you want tactile, clicky or a different linear switch out of the box.

Hot-swap is not universal compatibility; confirm pin count, orientation and fit for the switches you plan to install. The G84 also lists 3-pin/5-pin hot-swap support, so compare the particular stock switches offered with either model rather than assuming the feature determines feel.
Interpret wireless and battery claims carefully
Both keyboards offer wired use and two wireless options, but battery capacity and runtime are different evidence. EPOMAKER lists 8,000mAh for the Glyph; that capacity alone does not establish how long a charge lasts. Tom’s Guide reports that its reviewer had to recharge the Glyph after about 20 hours while using the screens and RGB at maximum, and notes that screen and lighting settings affect runtime. Treat that as one reviewer’s use case, not a typical-use estimate or guarantee.

For the G84, EPOMAKER states 15 hours with the backlight on and 400 hours with it off. These are manufacturer claims; they are not directly comparable to the Glyph reviewer’s maximum-screen/high-RGB observation because the conditions and source differ. If wireless endurance matters, look for runtime evidence under settings similar to your own and expect screens and lighting to influence use.
Compare keycaps and typing posture
The Glyph’s round, uniform-height keycaps are a major part of its look and feel. The G84 uses Cherry-profile PBT double-shot caps, a more familiar sculpted profile for many typists. Neither shape is objectively preferable: if you have strong preferences about finger travel, spacing or adapting to unusual cap shapes, consider whether you can try the layout or return it if it does not suit you.
Consider the controls and construction together
The Glyph combines its screen, knob and Enter/Backspace lever with a top-mount design. These controls can make settings and common actions more accessible, but add visual and physical elements that may not suit a minimal desk or a straightforward typing workflow. The G84’s listed gasket mount and conventional cap profile offer a different design direction, not proof of superior typing or sound. Compare the controls you will actually use and the construction you prefer, rather than treating mount type as a quality ranking.

Check the exact listing before you decide
Keyboard prices, stock and configurations can change. When checked on October 7, 2026, EPOMAKER’s Glyph page showed $125.10, discounted from $139; that is a volatile listing snapshot, not a durable price recommendation. Confirm the current price, layout, switch variant, seller and regional availability on the listing you intend to buy.
The practical choice is straightforward: choose the Glyph if you specifically want its typewriter-inspired styling and distinctive controls, and are comfortable checking the switch and battery trade-offs. Compare a more conventional compact board such as the G84 if you prioritize an 80% layout or Cherry-profile caps. Tom’s Guide also names the Keychron V1 Ultra 8K, Lemokey P1 Pro and Hexgears Immersion A3 TKL as options for shoppers prioritizing a wider stock-switch choice; the cited review does not establish current variant specifications or prices for them, so verify those details with their manufacturers before comparing.
