Do not assume a card marketed as a Riftbound K/DA card is official just because it looks convincing or appears in a listing. Riot’s official sources checked for this article do not confirm a K/DA card line, a specific K/DA card, or a product containing one. That does not prove none exists; it means you should verify the exact card and claimed set against Riot’s official card gallery and release announcements before buying or treating it as genuine.
Are Riftbound K/DA cards official?
Official confirmation was not found in Riot’s Riftbound card references or announcements checked for this article. That is a limited finding, not proof that no K/DA card exists. A marketplace listing, fan-made image, or social post is not official confirmation on its own.
Start by asking for the exact card name, character, set name or code, collector number, language, and the official release or promo announcement the seller says supports it. If the alleged card cannot be matched to an official reference, its status remains unverified. Avoid describing it as an official release based only on appearance.
How to compare a suspected card with Riot’s references
Use Riot’s Origins Card Gallery and preview-season guide as a starting point, then look for an announcement for the relevant set or promotion. Compare the details together rather than treating one matching feature as proof.

- Name and character: Check the exact printed card name and depicted character.
- Set and language: Match the claimed set identity and language to the official reference.
- Collector number: Compare the full number, including any suffix or asterisk, with the official entry and set convention.
- Rarity and art treatment: Check that the rarity and artwork correspond to the card or documented variant.
- Promo marks: Compare any Promo marking with the announcement for that specific promotion.
Riot’s 2025 preview-season guide says alternate-art cards have an “a” at the end of their collector number. It also describes overnumbered cards as having numbers above the main set count, and says some signature versions include an asterisk in the collector number. These are documented conventions, not universal rules for every future set: confirm the relevant set’s details in its official reference.
Small differences are not automatically evidence of a counterfeit. In its March 31, 2026 Flash promo update, Riot said the announced Flash promos would look identical to existing Flash cards except for a Promo mark at the bottom. That example supports checking the specific announcement; it does not establish a general physical-card authentication test.

What these checks can—and cannot—tell you
A mismatch in the name, number, language, artwork, or promo marking is a reason to pause and investigate. A match across those visible details is useful consistency evidence, but it does not prove the physical card is genuine: counterfeiters can copy visible information, and Riot’s retrieved official pages do not provide a comprehensive counterfeit checklist for loose Riftbound cards.
Riot’s Developer Portal documentation describes authorized access to selected digital Riftbound assets, including card art and rulesets, and sets requirements for card text used in apps. It can help explain why official reference data is preferable to copied listing text, but it does not authenticate a physical card.

Buying a single card safely
For a marketplace or private-sale listing, treat the seller’s photos and claims as evidence to check, not as official verification. Before paying:
- Request clear, well-lit photos of both the front and back of the exact card being sold. Avoid relying on stock images or cropped pictures that hide the number or markings.
- Compare the visible details with the official gallery and the relevant set or promo announcement.
- Ask the seller to identify the exact set, language, and collector number, and explain any variant marking.
- Review the seller’s history and the platform’s return terms. Keep the listing and seller’s description in case the item does not match what was represented.
These steps reduce uncertainty but are buyer due diligence, not a Riot-backed authentication procedure. If official references do not establish the card, do not pay an authenticity premium on the assumption that it is a confirmed release.

Can Riot’s authenticity-code page verify a Riftbound card?
Riot Merch has a “Verify Your Product” page with an “Authenticity Code” lookup. The page does not establish that loose Riftbound trading cards or K/DA cards can be checked there, so do not treat it as a card-authentication service or enter a card’s details expecting confirmation.
Does a Riftbound booster guarantee a K/DA card?
No such guarantee is established by the official product information checked here. Riot’s regional product page supports the existence of Riftbound physical product formats, including booster packs, but does not say that a particular pack contains K/DA cards. If buying sealed product, verify the exact set, language, packaging, and configuration; a general Riftbound booster is a way to acquire Riftbound cards, not evidence of K/DA contents.
