Choose the Idea Tab Plus for more screen space
The 12.1-inch Plus gives more room for split-screen study, larger on-screen text, and video viewing. Its listed 600-nit typical brightness and 96% DCI-P3 gamut also exceed the base model’s cited 500 nits and 72% NTSC specification. Those figures describe the published specifications, not a guarantee of how the displays will look in every setting.

Choose the Idea Tab for a more compact display
The standard Idea Tab’s 11-inch screen may suit you better if a smaller tablet is easier to carry or handle. Since both models list 2560 × 1600 pixels, the 11-inch model has a higher pixel density by calculation. That alone does not guarantee a visibly sharper image: viewing distance, display scaling, and content also matter.
Are the Plus and standard Idea Tab equally fast?
The Plus lists a MediaTek Dimensity 6400, while the Idea Tab lists a Dimensity 6300. The model number is not a substitute for a like-for-like performance test, and no benchmark results establish how much faster one tablet is in everyday use. Choose between them based on the documented screen differences and your preferred size rather than assuming a specific speed advantage.

What Lenovo says about Idea Tab Plus battery life
Lenovo lists a typical 10,200mAh battery for the Plus. Its datasheet estimates up to 13 hours of YouTube streaming and 13.5 hours of Chrome browsing. These are Lenovo estimates, not independent test results; the company says actual battery performance varies with configuration, usage, software, network, brightness, and other factors. Lenovo’s cited Idea Tab record does not provide a comparable runtime estimate, so these figures do not establish that the Plus lasts longer than the standard model.
Software support and configuration vary by model and region
Lenovo’s cited PSREF records list Android 15 or later for both product families. The Idea Tab Plus datasheet says the Plus is expected to receive OS upgrades through Android 17 and four years of security patches. An equivalent support duration for the standard Idea Tab is not established in the cited information; do not assume the schedules match.

Check the product name before you buy
Lenovo also sells a different tablet called the Lenovo Tab Plus, without “Idea” in its name. Lenovo’s US product page describes that separate model as an 11.5-inch 2K tablet with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and an 8,600mAh battery. It is not the 12.1-inch Idea Tab Plus discussed here. Is the Idea Tab Plus worth it?
That depends on the local price and the exact configuration. The Plus has a clear specification advantage if you value its larger screen, higher stated brightness, or wider listed color gamut.
