OnePlus lists the OnePlus 13R, 12R, and 11R 5G as compatible with OxygenOS 16, but compatibility does not mean the update has reached every phone. Update timing depends on the model, country, and carrier. For hardware, the 13R has a dedicated telephoto camera, while charging wattage differs by region and adapter: official 13R pages list 55W or 80W depending on market.
Which OnePlus R phones are compatible with OxygenOS 16?
OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 compatibility page lists the OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12R, and OnePlus 11R 5G. That confirms compatibility, not that every regional version has already received the over-the-air update. OnePlus says rollout happens in batches and timing can vary by model, country, and carrier; timing for carrier-exclusive models is determined by the carrier.
To check your own phone, open its software update screen and check for an update. If none appears, consult OnePlus’s official update information for your region or your carrier’s update notices. The official compatibility listing does not establish a single delivery date for every regional SKU.
How many Android and security updates does each R-series phone get?
Do not treat the R-series name as a single update promise. OnePlus’s US specifications for the 12R promise at least three generations of Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates from launch. That is a model-specific commitment; the sources cited here do not establish the same pledge for the 11R or 13R.

OnePlus’s broader security update policy pledges at least three years of security updates for smartphones and tablets following launch, while noting that delivery timing varies by region and model and that device-specific details may be updated. For the 12R, use its explicit four-year product commitment rather than substituting the broader minimum. Neither statement alone gives a precise calendar end date for every regional model.
Does the OnePlus 13R have a telephoto camera?
Yes. OnePlus’s UK specifications list three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The same page lists rear video recording up to 4K at 60fps. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent image-quality test results. See the OnePlus 13R UK specifications.

OnePlus’s US product page describes the 13R telephoto as offering 2x optical zoom and 4x “optical quality” zoom. The latter is the company’s wording; it should not be interpreted as 4x optical zoom. The US page identifies the telephoto as an ISOCELL JN5, while the UK specifications call it an S5KJN5. Megapixel counts and camera labels do not, by themselves, establish which phone takes better photos or performs better in low light. See the OnePlus 13R US product page.
Why does the OnePlus 13R show 55W in one place and 80W in another?
The published figures are regional specifications, not one universal charging rating. OnePlus lists 80W SUPERVOOC for the 13R on its UK specifications page. Its US product page lists 55W SUPERVOOC and says the phone can reach up to 80W with specified OnePlus 80W or 100W dual-port adapters. Check the official page for your market and the adapter requirements rather than assuming either number applies everywhere: UK specifications and US product page.

For the 12R, OnePlus’s US product page describes 80W SUPERVOOC support and notes that the phone supports 100W SUPERVOOC but may reach only 80W in 110V low-voltage areas, including North America. Actual charging power varies with conditions. That qualification is specific to the 12R and should not be carried over to other models or regions. See the OnePlus 12R US product page.
How long does a OnePlus 12R take to charge?
OnePlus’s Test Laboratory reported 31 minutes to charge the 12R from 1% to 100% in a test dated December 12, 2023. The test used an official SUPERVOOC adapter, kept the screen off throughout, and began with the phone and ambient temperature at 25°C ± 1°C. OnePlus cautions that actual results depend on conditions, so this is a controlled manufacturer claim rather than a guaranteed everyday charging time. The test details appear on the 12R US product page.

These manufacturer capacity figures are not direct runtime comparisons: battery life also depends on usage and other conditions. See the 12R specifications and 13R UK specifications.
