No. FSR support is game- and feature-specific: a game must include AMD’s integration or qualify for AMD Software’s driver-based upgrade. AMD now calls FSR 4 FSR Upscaling, part of its broader FSR “Redstone” suite. For the full suite, AMD lists Radeon RX 9000 Series graphics; its current FAQ also supports ML-based upscaling on RX 7000 cards, with RX 6000 support planned for 2027.
What “FSR 4” means now
AMD says “FSR 4 has been renamed FSR Upscaling to better distinguish between the various features that now make up FSR ‘Redstone’.” The broader suite comprises FSR Upscaling, FSR Frame Generation, FSR Ray Regeneration, and FSR Radiance Caching. Some game menus may still use the older FSR 4 name. AMD’s FSR Technologies page describes the current naming and features.
That distinction matters because support for one FSR technology does not mean a title supports every Redstone feature. AMD says more than 300 games support FSR technologies overall; that is not a count of games supporting every Redstone feature or FSR Upscaling specifically. Check the live supported-games list for the title and feature you want. AMD notes that compatibility can change.
What hardware each feature requires
| Goal | AMD-listed graphics tier | Other conditions |
|---|---|---|
| ML-based FSR Upscaling | Radeon RX 7000 or RX 9000 Series, according to AMD’s current FAQ | The game needs native support or must qualify for AMD Software’s driver-based upgrade. AMD’s supported-games page describes RX 7000 support as upscaling only. |
| Full FSR “Redstone” suite | Radeon RX 9000 Series | Availability remains specific to the game and feature. |
| Driver-upgraded ML upscaling | A supported AMD graphics card | The game must have FSR 3.1 integration, use DirectX 12, and be eligible on AMD’s list. |
| Driver-upgraded ML frame generation | Radeon RX 9000 Series, per AMD’s supported-games page | The game must have FSR 3.1.4 integration and use DirectX 12 on Windows 11. |
AMD says RX 6000 support for ML-based FSR Upscaling is planned for 2027; that is a future plan, not current compatibility. These requirements reflect AMD’s documentation accessed October 7, 2026, and may change. See AMD’s feature overview and the supported-games page for updates.

How to check whether your game supports the feature you want
- Open AMD’s supported-games list and find your exact game.
- Check the entry for the specific feature—such as upscaling or frame generation. A general FSR listing does not establish support for every Redstone feature.
- Compare the listed feature with your GPU and the stated driver or platform conditions. AMD’s current page lists Adrenalin 26.6.2 or newer for RX 7000 upscaling support and Adrenalin 25.12.1 or newer for RX 9000 Redstone technologies.
- Check the game’s graphics or display settings for the relevant FSR option. Native integrations are generally enabled in the game menu; a compatible card alone does not add an option to every title.
Native support and AMD Software upgrades
There are two routes. With native integration, the game developer includes the feature and the player selects it in the game’s settings. Alternatively, AMD Software can upgrade certain games that already integrate earlier FSR versions. For driver-upgraded ML upscaling, AMD specifies FSR 3.1 integration and DirectX 12. For driver-upgraded ML frame generation, it specifies FSR 3.1.4, Windows 11, and DirectX 12.
For driver-based enablement, AMD instructs users to enable the feature in AMD Software while the game is closed, then use the game’s FSR 3.1 setting where applicable. Follow the current AMD instructions for your listed title and feature; the driver path does not make every game compatible.

What the performance figures do—and do not—say
AMD reports a 3.5x average performance result from its November 2025 testing of FSR “Redstone” on a Radeon RX 9070 XT. AMD compared native 4K with FSR Upscaling Performance mode and frame generation enabled; Ray Regeneration was enabled for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 only. This is AMD’s result under those stated conditions, not a guarantee for another game or PC.
AMD’s FSR Technical Preview release notes list 65 titles for that historical preview. That preview count is not the current total of supported games. Use the live list rather than an older count when checking compatibility.

Driver and operating-system notes
AMD’s Adrenalin 26.9.2 release notes, last updated September 29, 2026, list Windows 11 version 21H2 and later and Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2 and later for that driver package, subject to product-specific operating-system support. Those are driver-package conditions, not a promise that every FSR feature works on every listed operating system. AMD recommends OEM drivers for laptops and all-in-one PCs where system-specific validation matters. See the Adrenalin 26.9.2 release notes.

If your goal is AMD’s currently documented full Redstone suite, AMD lists the Radeon RX 9000 Series. AMD’s February 2025 RDNA 4 announcement identifies the RX 9000 generation; the RX 9070 XT is one model in that family. If you only want ML-based upscaling, AMD’s FAQ also lists RX 7000 support, with the supported-games page limiting that tier to upscaling. For older FSR generations, AMD lists compatibility with older Radeon hardware, but that does not establish support for the newer ML-based feature.
