To connect a phone, put the JBL PartyBox in Bluetooth pairing mode, open Bluetooth settings on the phone, and select the PartyBox name shown for your model. The exact button or source-selection steps vary by model; the instructions below use JBL’s documented guidance for the PartyBox 100 and 110.
Connect your phone over Bluetooth
- Turn on the PartyBox.
- Select Bluetooth as the speaker source if needed. JBL explicitly includes this step for the PartyBox 110; controls can differ on other models.
- Press the PartyBox’s Bluetooth button to start pairing mode.
- Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and turn Bluetooth on.
- Choose the name that matches your speaker. JBL’s manuals show names such as “JBL PartyBox 100” and “JBL PartyBox 110.”
- When the phone reports that it is connected, start playback on the phone.
JBL’s general PartyBox connection guidance covers the PartyBox 100, 200, 300, 1000 and On-The-Go. The model-specific details below are from the PartyBox 100 and 110 manuals; do not assume every control or feature applies to every PartyBox.
If the phone does not connect
The speaker is not listed
Check that the PartyBox is on and in Bluetooth pairing mode, then look again in the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Confirm the model name in the speaker’s manual rather than choosing a similarly named device. If it still does not appear, consult the manual for that exact PartyBox model; JBL’s available instructions do not establish one universal reset or phone-specific troubleshooting sequence.
A PIN is requested
For the PartyBox 100 and PartyBox 110, JBL specifies 0000 if a PIN is requested. This is documented for those models, not established here as a universal code for all PartyBox speakers.

The speaker does not reconnect automatically
The PartyBox 100 and 110 manuals say the speaker tries to reconnect to the last phone used when powered on. If it does not reconnect, select the speaker manually in the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
Playback cuts out or the connection is unreliable
JBL cautions that Bluetooth performance depends on both distance and the operating environment. The PartyBox 110 manual’s pairing illustration indicates under 10 m (33 ft), but that is model-specific guidance, not a guaranteed working range. Move the phone closer and consider whether the surroundings are affecting the connection.

Another phone is connected
JBL’s general support article says two devices can be connected at once. To hear audio from the second device, stop playback on the device currently playing and use the other. Treat this as general JBL guidance, since model-specific behavior may differ.
The speaker has paired with many phones
The PartyBox 100 and 110 manuals say each speaker can remember up to eight paired devices. The 110 manual adds that pairing a ninth device replaces the first saved entry. If you have used several phones, select the PartyBox from the phone you want to use rather than relying on an automatic connection.

Use a wired connection as a fallback
JBL documents a 3.5 mm AUX input on the PartyBox 100 and 110. Connect the phone’s compatible audio output to the speaker’s AUX input with a 3.5 mm audio cable; JBL says the cable is not included. Check your phone’s connector and any adapter requirements, and verify that your particular PartyBox has AUX input. The available model documentation does not establish AUX support for every PartyBox.

For most phones, Bluetooth is the straightforward option because it avoids a cable. AUX is a useful alternative when the specific speaker has that input and the phone can provide compatible wired audio.
