Check whether your plan and platform include the game
Start with the exact game you want, rather than assuming that every Ubisoft-published title is included. Xbox says game availability can vary by region, plan, platform, and over time, so a static list may quickly become inaccurate.
Open the Xbox Game Pass catalog and search for the title or browse its Ubisoft+ Classics collection. Check the listing for the subscription and platform you intend to use before installing.

Install a Game Pass Ubisoft game on Windows
- Open the Xbox PC app. Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the eligible Game Pass subscription.
- Find the game. Search for its exact title, or browse the Ubisoft Connect or Ubisoft+ Classics collection. Check the listing’s included-with-Game-Pass status and Windows platform before selecting the download.
- Follow any account-linking prompt. If the Xbox app asks you to link a Ubisoft account, follow its current prompts. Ubisoft’s help article, Information about Ubisoft games on PC Game Pass, identifies Ubisoft Connect PC and the Xbox app for Windows as part of PC Game Pass access and provides support for linking problems.
- Use Ubisoft Connect if the game requires it. Install or update the official client if needed, then sign in to the Ubisoft account linked to Xbox. The exact steps and prompts can vary, so use the instructions currently shown in the apps and Ubisoft Help.
- Launch the game. Once the installation completes, start it from the Xbox app or as directed by the game’s listing and Ubisoft Connect.
Install or find a game on an Xbox console
Use the Xbox catalog or console store listing for the exact game and select the console platform you own. Confirm its current inclusion with your plan and region before starting the installation. Do not assume every Ubisoft+ Classics game is available on every Xbox generation or in every region.
If the game is missing or will not install
- Check that you are signed into the Microsoft account with the eligible subscription.
- Recheck the live catalog for the exact title, your Game Pass plan, region, and intended platform. Inclusion can change.
- On Windows, review any account-linking prompt and consult Ubisoft’s current PC Game Pass help guidance if linking fails.
- Do not assume an unlink-and-relink procedure will resolve the issue; use the current support instructions for your account and app state.
Do not confuse Game Pass access with Xbox-to-PC ownership
Game Pass access is separate from an Xbox console ownership entitlement announced by Xbox Wire on July 27, 2026. That announcement covered digital Xbox console owners of 13 specified games who could receive the PC versions through Ubisoft Connect at no extra cost. It was a console-to-PC offer, not PC-to-console access, and most owned editions and DLC transferred while consumables might not. Xbox Wire said existing owners would receive access through a progressive rollout ending August 4, 2026.

The listed games were Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs Legion. This ownership route does not make those games Game Pass titles. Xbox’s announcement also said to update Ubisoft Connect to its newest version so eligible console-to-PC entitlements appear in the library; that instruction applies to this separate entitlement, not as a universal Game Pass troubleshooting fix.
