CircuitLord’s free Titanfall 2 VR mod brings head tracking, hand-aimed weapons, manual reloads and Titan controls to the game’s single-player campaign. Those features make the fast shooter an unusually compelling VR prospect—but wall-running, grappling and other rapid movement can also make it uncomfortable, and the available documentation does not establish headset compatibility or minimum PC requirements.
What the Titanfall 2 VR mod changes
CircuitLord’s community-made mod converts the Titanfall 2 single-player campaign for PC VR. Its repository lists stereo rendering, full-body inverse kinematics (IK), manual reloads and Titan controls; Road to VR also reports head tracking, weapon aiming and mech weapon controls across the game’s weapon roster. That combination brings more of the game’s action into the player’s hands than a simple view-through-a-headset mode.
The appeal is easy to understand: Titanfall 2’s campaign already combines on-foot combat with piloting giant mechs. In VR, aiming weapons with motion controllers and operating Titan weapons gives those two kinds of combat different physical interactions. Road to VR reporter Scott Hayden wrote, “The amount of motion in the game goes above and beyond even a regular flatscreen shooter.” That intensity is part of the draw, but it is also a comfort warning.
The mod is free, but it is not the game itself. You need an existing Titanfall 2 installation and a PC VR setup. Its installer repository describes the projects as community-made and unaffiliated with or endorsed by the game’s developers or publishers.

Is it really one of the best VR games ever?
“One of the best VR games ever” is an enthusiastic judgment, not an established ranking. The documented features explain why the mod could feel special to players who want a full campaign, hands-on weapon interactions and dramatic mech combat. But the available sources do not provide comparative testing, performance measurements or evidence that it suits every VR player. The same movement that makes the campaign feel intense may make it a poor fit for people sensitive to motion in VR.
Consider it a promising, free way to experience a well-known shooter campaign in VR—not a guarantee of comfort, polished performance on every PC, or support for every headset.

How to install and launch CircuitLord’s VR mod
The installer repository says it can locate Titanfall 2 installations from Steam, EA or Xbox, checks that the EA app is available, and installs Northstar and the mod into a separate profile named TF2VR. It provides a Launch in VR control. Follow the repository’s current instructions for its latest setup details:
- Install Titanfall 2 through a supported storefront: Steam, EA or Xbox.
- Make sure the EA app is available, as the installer checks for it.
- Download and run the installer using the instructions in the CircuitLord VR Mod Installer repository.
- Start SteamVR or the VR runtime you intend to use, then select Launch in VR in the installer.
According to the repository, the separate profile keeps ordinary Titanfall 2 launches unmodded. VR campaign saves and settings are stored separately under %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR.

Will it work with Quest, Vive, Index or my PC?
The available CircuitLord documentation uses general VR-runtime language; it does not establish a list of officially tested headsets or a minimum PC specification. That means the sources here cannot confirm compatibility for Quest, Vive, Index or any other specific headset, nor promise a particular frame rate. Check the project’s current documentation for updates before installing, and do not treat hardware notes for another Titanfall 2 VR project as proof of compatibility with this one.
A contemporaneous VR.org examination says the installer checks downloaded files against SHA-256 hashes and records files it writes so uninstall can remove those recorded files. That is a report about repository behavior, not an independent security audit. The installer source is MIT-licensed; the mod itself is closed source and all rights reserved.

Expect fast movement—and plan for comfort
The campaign includes wall-running, double-jumping, sliding and grappling, on top of ordinary combat and Titan movement. These actions can create substantial visual motion while your body remains still. Road to VR warns that the pace may make the experience unsuitable for some players.
Snap turning is available, but it does not remove discomfort caused by movement through the game world. If you are unsure how you will tolerate it, begin with a short session and take a break if you feel unwell. Those are sensible precautions, not a developer-tested comfort protocol.

Do not confuse it with TinyBlkDog’s separate VR project
Search results also surface an earlier project by TinyBlkDog. It is a separate Northstar client plugin, marked alpha in its repository—not another name for CircuitLord’s full campaign conversion. The projects document different setup approaches and hardware evidence:
