Samsung’s support page for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE (model SM-X520) links guidance for these issues, touchscreen response, diagnostics, software updates, and resets. Those support topics are troubleshooting resources—not evidence that the tablet has an unusually high failure rate.
Use instructions for your exact model and region; Samsung’s menus and support pages can vary. Begin with the least disruptive checks, then use Samsung Members diagnostics or contact Samsung if the problem persists.
Wi-Fi won’t connect or keeps dropping
Work from the network outward. Samsung’s Galaxy device Wi-Fi guidance recommends checking the connection, router, software, and network settings before escalating.
- Confirm Wi-Fi is turned on, then disconnect from the network and reconnect. Have the network password available.
- Check whether other devices can connect to the same router. If they cannot, investigate the router or internet connection rather than the tablet.
- Check for and install available tablet software updates using Samsung’s instructions for your model and region.
- If the simpler checks fail, consider resetting network settings. This can remove saved network details, so be ready to reconnect to Wi-Fi and re-enter credentials.
- Run Samsung Members diagnostics if available for your device. If the connection still fails, consult Samsung support.

The tablet charges slowly or does not charge
Check the power source and charging connection before treating the issue as a tablet fault. Samsung’s support materials cover charging interruptions, cable or port issues, moisture alerts, and debris; they do not establish a specific charger wattage or an exact in-box charging setup for the Tab S10 FE.
- Try a different working outlet and inspect the cable and connectors for visible damage. If you have a suitable known-good charging setup, use it to check whether the problem changes.
- Look for a moisture warning or obvious debris at the port, and follow Samsung’s instructions for the exact warning or condition. Do not insert metal objects into the port.
- If the port appears damaged, moisture warnings recur, or charging remains unreliable, contact Samsung support or a repair provider rather than forcing the connection.

The touchscreen misses taps or responds inconsistently
Samsung provides touchscreen troubleshooting for intermittent response, gestures, and touch sensitivity through its model support materials. Use the official steps for your device to check settings and possible accessory interference. If the screen continues to miss touches after those checks, or the display is physically damaged, contact Samsung support; the existence of a troubleshooting guide does not establish a model-wide screen defect.

The tablet is slow, frozen, or unresponsive
For sluggish performance, try reversible steps before considering a reset:
- Install available software updates using Samsung’s instructions for the Tab S10 FE.
- Close apps you are not using and free up memory as appropriate.
- Restart the tablet. If it is responsive enough, run Samsung Members diagnostics if available.
- If the trouble began after installing a third-party app, use Samsung’s app-related troubleshooting guidance to investigate that app.
If the tablet remains unresponsive, consult Samsung support. A factory reset is a later option, not a guaranteed fix; back up important data before resetting. Samsung links update, diagnostics, and reset guidance from its model support page.

The S Pen is not recognized—or seems to need charging
The Tab S10 FE S Pen does not support charging. A charging indicator or battery expectation is therefore not the right way to diagnose this model’s pen. Samsung’s S Pen guide also says the reset option is unavailable for S Pens that do not support Air actions, including the Tab S10 FE S Pen.
- Seat the S Pen at its designated attachment spot and check that it is aligned correctly.
- Remove magnetic accessories that are not from Samsung and test recognition again; Samsung says magnetic contact can interfere with recognition.
- If possible, test another compatible S Pen. If the Tab S10 FE pen still is not recognized, contact Samsung about replacement or service and verify compatibility before buying a replacement.

When to contact Samsung or consider a reset
Use Samsung Members diagnostics when available and follow the model- and region-appropriate instructions on Samsung’s support page. Contact Samsung or a repair provider for suspected physical damage, repeated moisture alerts, persistent charging faults, or problems that remain after the relevant troubleshooting steps. Treat a factory reset as a later software step and back up your data first; it may not resolve every cause.
