Absolver is the closest recommendation for Sifu fans: it is Sloclap’s earlier martial-arts game, and the studio says Sifu builds on its martial-arts gameplay experience. For a broader, story-led city adventure, consider Judgment—but it is not established as a focused kung-fu brawler like Sifu.
What makes a game feel like Sifu?
Sifu is a single-player, close-quarters kung-fu beat-’em-up set in a contemporary urban world. Its combat asks you to read opponents, manage their Structure, use positioning and environmental objects, and learn skills as you progress. Breaking an opponent’s stance creates an opening for a takedown. Death also advances the protagonist’s age during the pursuit of revenge. These elements—not simply the presence of martial arts—make it a useful comparison point. PlayStation’s Sifu listing describes the game and its PS4 and PS5 editions; Sloclap’s combat commentary explains its approach to fighting.

Best games to try after Sifu
Absolver: the closest connection
Start with Absolver if you want the strongest developer and martial-arts connection. PlayStation identifies it as Sloclap’s earlier fighting game, and the studio says Sifu builds on its experience making martial-arts gameplay. Sloclap also distinguishes Sifu as a single-player experience, so the lineage is a reason to try Absolver—not evidence that the two games have identical systems or play the same way. PlayStation’s Sifu page and Sloclap’s commentary establish that connection.
Judgment: for a broader urban action story
Judgment is a better fit if you want a city-set, story-led action game and are willing to move beyond Sifu’s focused kung-fu combat. SEGA presents it as a legal suspense drama from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and includes “Kick Faces” among its gameplay headings. That supports recommending it for urban action, but not calling it a Sifu-style combat clone. SEGA’s page lists PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, Luna, and Steam; platform and storefront availability can vary, so check the current listing for your region. SEGA’s official Judgment page also lists Amazon as a purchase destination.

#1 Best Overall
- Your enemies don’t wait their turn, and they don’t broadcast their intent. Dodge, parry, strike, use combos and be like water making its way through captivating environments. Learn how to master your art, whether by fighting through the underbelly of a nightclub, scrambling through a refined gallery to avoid getting surrounded, or vertically navigating a towering office building.
- Careful positioning and clever use of the environment to your advantage are key to your survival. Use everything at your disposal: throwable objects, makeshift weapons, windows and ledges... The odds are stacked against you, and you will be offered no mercy.
- Kung Fu is mastery through practice, a path for both the body and the mind. Learn from your errors, unlock unique skills, and find the strength to master the devastating techniques of Pak Mei Kung Fu.
Sekiro: a community suggestion to investigate
Players in a Sifu discussion recommend Sekiro and compare its combat feel with Sifu. That is a useful lead if you are considering another action game, but the discussion alone does not establish a reliable mechanics comparison or current platform details. Check an authoritative game page or storefront before deciding whether it matches what you want. The discussion is anecdotal, not a verified feature or availability guide.
Sleeping Dogs: another community suggestion
Sleeping Dogs also comes up in the same discussion as a hand-to-hand action recommendation, including in comparisons with Judgment. Treat it as a candidate to look into rather than a confirmed mechanical match: the discussion does not verify its features or current availability. Read the player discussion for the context behind the suggestion.

Choose by the experience you want
The distinctions below are selection guidance, not measured rankings. The strongest documented comparison is the link between Sloclap’s martial-arts work on Absolver and Sifu. Judgment is supported as a city-set legal suspense drama with action, while the Sekiro and Sleeping Dogs suggestions here come from an anecdotal discussion.
| Game | Why it may suit a Sifu fan | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Absolver | Closest developer lineage and a martial-arts focus. | Sloclap describes Sifu as its single-player-focused follow-up; the games should not be assumed to share identical systems. |
| Judgment | City-set action for players who value a broader narrative adventure. | SEGA presents it as a legal suspense drama, not as a focused kung-fu brawler. |
| Sekiro | Raised by players as a possible follow-up. | The player discussion does not verify a detailed mechanics comparison or platform availability. |
| Sleeping Dogs | Raised by players seeking hand-to-hand action. | The player discussion does not establish its features or current availability. |
- Prioritize kung-fu lineage: Try Absolver first.
- Want a broader city story: Look at Judgment, with the understanding that its focus differs from Sifu’s.
- Exploring community recommendations: Treat Sekiro and Sleeping Dogs as leads, then verify the details that matter to you through authoritative listings.
What to know about Sifu editions and Arenas
PlayStation lists Sifu editions for PS4 and PS5, and the editions shown on that page are digital. Check the relevant regional storefront for current purchase options and whether a physical edition is available before buying. The official Sifu site describes the Arenas expansion as adding five modes, nine locations, and 45 challenges; those counts refer to the expansion, not the base game’s content. Sifu’s official site also announced a mobile launch for October 12, 2026, in a post dated October 1, 2026. As of October 7, 2026, that date was still upcoming, so check the site for an updated launch status.
