Yes—Marvel Rivals supports cross-platform play and cross-progression, but they do different things. Players on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay can play together when they use the same server. Linking supported accounts lets you use one selected character and its shared progress across platforms, while rank records remain separate by platform.

The official December 6, 2024 release FAQ lists Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Store, and Loading Bay. Availability can differ by platform and region, so check the relevant store for your location.

Does Marvel Rivals have crossplay?
Yes. Marvel Rivals’ release FAQ says players using different platforms can play with friends as long as everyone is on the same server. This is crossplay: it lets players join and play together, but it does not by itself combine their accounts or progress.
The sources cited here do not establish current ranked matchmaking pools, party restrictions, or a crossplay toggle. Check the game’s current in-game settings and party flow for those details rather than relying on older beta-era rules.

Does Marvel Rivals have cross-progression?
Yes. In its November 14, 2025 Account Cross-Progression Q&A, Marvel Rivals explains that linking eligible platform accounts lets you sign in through a linked account and use the same selected character and its shared progress. The supported accounts listed are Epic, Steam, Loading Bay, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Cross-progression does not merge separate characters. If linked accounts already have different characters, you choose one as the primary character. The others remain stored and can be restored by changing the primary character or unlinking; their progress is not combined.

How do you link Marvel Rivals accounts?
- In the game, open Settings → Other → Account → Account Binding.
- Select the platform account you want to link and complete the verification steps shown.
- Wait for the link to finish. If the accounts contain separate characters, select the character you want to use as the primary character.
Before unlinking or switching characters, read the current in-game confirmation carefully. The 2025 Q&A states that unbinding starts a 180-day wait before that same platform can be linked again, and that switching the primary character has a 30-minute cooldown. It also says that after binding a PlayStation Network account, you cannot bind a different PSN account, although you may relink the original one. These account rules may change.
Linking Marvel Rivals accounts does not automatically update other services. If you use Discord or Twitch Drops, you may need to bind those separately. Platform-exclusive costumes also remain limited to their designated platforms; on other platforms, the character appears in the default costume.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code

Does rank carry over between PC and console?
No. The shared character can carry progress, but battle data, rank, and leaderboards are separate for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, according to the 2025 Q&A. The Q&A says season rewards are based on the highest valid device rank from the preceding season, subject to the game’s settlement instructions.

Paid content is stored on the character, but platform rules can limit what you can buy again. The 2025 Q&A says a bundle already purchased on PlayStation or Xbox may not be available for repurchase on that same platform account; it suggests trying another linked platform if you want to make a second purchase. That does not mean every purchase is freely transferable or available on every platform.

Marvel Rivals is presented as free to play on the surfaced PlayStation listing, which describes in-game purchases as optional. Official Season 5 notes from November 12, 2025 list bundles and a battle pass as examples of store content at that time. Those sources do not establish today’s prices, current catalog, or the availability of particular items; check the store on your platform for current details.
