Try the browser version’s Modern Controls
The browser game page lists “Modern Controls” and describes them as “Arrow keys + TAB for controls.” Visit daggorath.online and look for that option on the game page. The label documents the control scheme, but the available information does not specify browser-by-browser compatibility or establish that every configuration will work.
There is also a setup caveat for the project’s threaded WebAssembly build: its documentation says it needs SharedArrayBuffer support and cross-origin isolation headers. See the web-port project documentation. If the browser route does not work in your setup, the documentation does not establish that changing controls alone will fix it.

Use command abbreviations in the original interface
The Tandy-attributed manual describes entering a command and pressing Enter. It also allows shortened commands, which can make the classic interface less laborious without changing how the game is controlled. For example, the manual gives “A L” for ATTACK LEFT and “P L SW” for PULL LEFT SWORD. The forms still use spaces and must be long enough to distinguish the intended command; an ambiguous or too-short abbreviation will not work as intended. Consult the Dungeons of Daggorath manual for the game’s command conventions.

Dungeons of Doom is a Color Computer modification, not an official control-only release of Dungeons of Daggorath. Its author documents joystick movement and a joystick button for ATTACK RIGHT. The hack also changes game content and includes an optional unlimited-power setup, so it is better suited to players specifically interested in a modified CoCo experience than to anyone seeking only a new control scheme.

Which route should you choose?
- To try a documented software control option first: start with the browser page’s Modern Controls, while keeping the threaded-build requirement in mind.
- If you have a 3DS and want buttons for frequent actions: review the community port’s README and installation details before relying on it for your particular system.
- If you want joystick play on Color Computer hardware or emulation: consider Dungeons of Doom only if its gameplay changes are acceptable.
- If you want to keep the original interface: use the manual’s abbreviations to reduce keystrokes without replacing typed commands.
The documented browser option is software-based; the cited project information does not establish that a physical product must be bought to reduce typing.
