If you see two similar PlayStation Store charges, pause before buying again or adding funds. First compare the transaction history for every PlayStation account that could use the payment method with your bank or card statement. A pair of bank entries alone does not confirm that PlayStation completed the same transaction twice.
Check PlayStation transaction history before retrying
PlayStation recommends checking its own records to see whether the same content appears more than once. You can review history online, on a console, or in the PlayStation App. The menu wording differs by platform and region.

Online Account Management
- Sign in to Account Management.
- Open Transaction History or, in the UK guide, Order History.
- Choose a date range, then select a transaction to view its details.
The UK guide says online history shows the past two years by default. If the charge is older, check whether another date range is available.
PS5
- Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Transaction History.
- Choose the account and date range, then inspect the relevant entries.
On PS5, only the family manager can view family members’ transaction history.

PS4
- Go to Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Wallet > Transaction History.
- Scan the QR code shown on screen to view the history.
PlayStation App
- Select PlayStation Store and open the menu.
- Choose Transaction History, set the date range, and select a transaction for details.
Compare the Store record with your statement
Match the date, amount, and transaction details in PlayStation history against the bank or card statement. For a wallet top-up concern, PlayStation specifically advises checking both the transaction history and bank statement to see whether the wallet was funded multiple times: PlayStation wallet funding troubleshooting.
If PlayStation history shows one completed purchase but the statement has two similar lines, that does not establish that the Store processed two purchases. The support guidance reviewed does not explain how banks display authorizations or pending entries, or promise that a duplicate-looking bank entry will disappear. Ask your bank or card provider about the status and processing of those statement lines.

If the PlayStation account history shows the same purchase more than once, or a wallet was accidentally funded twice, contact PlayStation Support rather than making another payment attempt.
Check other accounts, subscriptions, and family purchases
A charge that looks duplicated can belong to a different transaction or account. Before concluding that one Store purchase was billed twice, check these possibilities:

- Another PlayStation account uses the same payment method. PlayStation advises checking each account linked to the card.
- A subscription renewed. Compare the charge with your subscription details and renewal timing; recurring fees are distinct from a new game purchase.
- A child family member made a purchase. Child accounts do not have a separate PlayStation wallet. A child can spend from the family manager’s wallet within the assigned spending limit; that limit defaults to zero when the family manager creates the child account.
These are checks, not a diagnosis of what caused a particular charge. PlayStation’s guidance on unauthorized charges and compromised accounts recommends reviewing transactions and considering subscriptions, family purchases, and payment methods shared across accounts.
Request a refund for an eligible transaction
Open Transaction History, select the transaction, and choose Request Refund if that option is available. You can also contact Support or use the online assistant through the regional refund page. Eligibility depends on the purchase type, timing, usage, and local rules; consult the policy for your region.

The following conditions are from PlayStation’s US refund guide, not universal rules for every country:
- Games and DLC: The guide says to request within 14 days and that content must not have been downloaded or streamed, except where faulty-content rights apply.
- Subscriptions: The request must be made within 14 days of signing up and concern the first payment, not a recurring fee. Use may reduce the refund.
- Wallet top-ups: The US guide says a wallet top-up cannot be cancelled.
The US guide says eligible refunds may take 30 to 60 days. Where possible, the refund goes to the original payment method; if that is not possible, it may be credited to the PlayStation wallet. Local law may provide additional rights. See the US refund policy or select your region’s PlayStation refund policy for applicable terms.

Escalate charges that no account history explains
If no account’s transaction history explains a charge, follow PlayStation’s unauthorized-charge instructions and contact Support promptly. If you suspect someone accessed your account, use PlayStation’s account recovery guidance and security steps. Do not make another purchase simply to test whether the first one went through. For questions about a bank-side entry that PlayStation history does not resolve, contact the bank or card provider.
