If you want PlayStation merchandise but would rather know what you’re getting before you buy, look beyond blind boxes to named-character figures, LEGO sets, statues, plush, books, and apparel. PlayStation’s official merchandise categories include collectibles, toys and games, and apparel and accessories; individual product pages document options, but they do not confirm current stock or prices.
Choose the kind of collecting experience you want
The key difference is whether the character and format are known before purchase. A named figure or statue suits collectors building a specific display; a LEGO set offers assembly as part of the experience; plush, books, and apparel broaden the collection beyond figures. Blind boxes remain an option if the uncertainty and reveal are part of the appeal.

Named PlayStation figures for a specific-character collection
PlayStation Shapes Collection
PlayStation’s 2024 Shapes Collection announcement names 6-inch figures of Kratos, Atreus, Varl, and Jin Sakai, as well as a deluxe Aloy. The figures are described as articulated and supplied with interchangeable accessories, making them a closer match to action figures than blind-box collectibles. The announcement is a product record, not proof that a figure is still in stock or that its original price remains applicable. See the announcement.
For Aloy and Varl, the announcement says the figurines are based on the actual digital sculpts used for the game. That may appeal to collectors who value a close connection to the game’s character designs, but it does not establish a current listing or availability.

Horizon merchandise beyond action figures
PlayStation’s Horizon merchandise page brings together several formats. These options are useful if the goal is to collect the franchise or a character rather than specifically to own an articulated figure.
- Build and display: The LEGO set features Aloy and Varl facing a Shell-Walker and Sawtooth. It is a buildable, play-oriented alternative that can also be displayed.
- Display statue: The page describes a 1/6-scale Aloy statue manufactured by PureArts. The fixed statue format differs from an articulated figure and does not offer pose changes.
- Read and reference: The Horizon Forbidden West Official Strategy Guide from Future Press is described as a premium hardcover with 600+ pages.
- Wear the franchise: The page also includes apparel and other collectibles, providing options for fans who prefer something usable or varied over another figure.
The page documents these products but does not establish present stock or prices. Check the linked partner or retailer listing for the exact item and region before planning a purchase.

- This mystery blind box introduces 10 mythical characters to add to your arsenal.
- Each of these vinyl mini figures includes a Twisted Cryptids foil promo card! Collect them all to prove to your friends that Cryptids are real and you’re not crazy…
- Note: If you order multiple singles, you are likely, but not guaranteed, to end up getting multiple of the same character rather than different characters.
Plush and older PlayStation merchandise listings
PlayStation’s 2018 holiday gift guide included a Stubbins Clank plush and Kidrobot God of War vinyl blind boxes. The Clank example is a known-character alternative to a mystery figure, while the Kidrobot items preserve the random-reveal format. Both are historical references: the gift guide does not prove either product is currently available. Its Amazon link supports searching for the Clank plush, not assuming there is an active or appropriate listing. Read the 2018 gift guide.
Similarly, PlayStation’s 2019 Comic-Con announcement described event-specific mystery boxes with five items per daily box and 500 or fewer units manufactured for each item. Those quantities apply to that historical event, not to a current release or general PlayStation merchandise supply. Read the 2019 announcement.

When a blind box is still the better fit
If you enjoy the reveal and are comfortable receiving a character you did not select, a blind box may be more satisfying than a known-item purchase. Good Smile’s Nendoroid Surprise information describes boxes containing a random 70 mm figure and a surprise part. Good Smile says a boxset contains every character figure, but not every possible surprise part, so a complete character lineup does not guarantee every accessory variation. Check Good Smile’s product details. These are examples of surprise-format collecting, not PlayStation-branded alternatives.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to check a product before you buy
- Start with the official product page. Use PlayStation’s merchandise or announcement page to identify the exact character, format, scale, and partner. An older announcement documents what was offered, not what is currently for sale.
- Follow the partner or retailer listing. Confirm that the listing is active in your country and matches the item described—especially for older plush and convention merchandise.
- Check the format and completeness. For figures, look for scale, articulation, and included accessories; for blind boxes, check whether the listing is for a single random item or a boxset, and what a set does and does not guarantee.
- Verify current price and stock at checkout. The cited PlayStation pages do not provide dependable current pricing or inventory for most of these products, so use the live seller listing rather than a historical announcement.
Sony describes a broader licensing strategy spanning apparel and accessories, collectibles, and toys and games, with plans to expand into other categories. That explains why alternatives can take forms beyond figures, but it does not guarantee that any particular item is available now. Sony Interactive Entertainment.
