Gold Mileage carries over after a banner ends, so it is not a failed-pull counter that resets with each banner. The exact odds and eligible characters depend on the banner; check its in-game rate display before recruiting.
How NIKKE’s pity system works
For a featured character, the key mechanic is Gold Mileage. Each eligible draw on a Special Recruit or Limited Select banner awards Gold Mileage Tickets; exchange 200 for that banner’s featured or selected Nikke. The tickets remain after the banner ends, so you can save them for a later eligible exchange. This is a guaranteed exchange once you have the required mileage, not a guarantee that a character will drop after a particular number of unsuccessful pulls. Your pulls still use the banner’s published probabilities; mileage is a separate way to obtain the target.
Gold Mileage and Silver Mileage are not interchangeable

The recruitment FAQ says eligible draws award one ticket per draw for the corresponding mileage category. Use the banner’s own details to confirm which tickets and vouchers it accepts: recruitment FAQ.

What the current banner rates mean
The September 17, 2026 update notice lists a 4% total SSR chance and a 2% chance for the featured unit on its named Special Recruit banners. Its Limited Select Recruit choices also have a 4% SSR chance, with a 2% chance for the character you select. These are banner-specific figures, not a universal rate for every recruit type.
A recruitment FAQ gives general Ordinary Recruit and pickup-banner rates of 4% SSR, 43% SR, and 53% R, and reports a 2% pickup-unit chance for applicable pickup banners. It also notes that Tutorial and Social Points banners can differ. Do not apply that breakdown to every banner or assume the remaining SSR odds are distributed identically across banners. Which recruit should you use?
- Use Special Recruit when: you want its featured character and want eligible pulls to earn Gold Mileage toward that character. The September 17, 2026 notice says its named Special Recruit accepts Gems, whether paid or free, and Advanced Recruit Vouchers; Ordinary Recruit Vouchers cannot be used. Update notes
- Use Limited Select when: your target is one of the banner’s selectable characters. You choose one target from the fixed list; unselected entries do not appear in that banner, and you can change your selection. Eligible pulls earn Gold Mileage, with 200 tickets redeemable for the selected character. Update notes
- Use Ordinary Recruit when: you are recruiting from its available pool rather than pursuing a current featured target. It earns Silver Mileage for Spare Bodies, according to the community recruitment overview.
Ordinary Recruit’s Wishlist and Silver Mileage
The community recruitment overview says the Ordinary Recruit Wishlist unlocks after 40 Ordinary Recruit draws. It has 20 slots, with five slots for each manufacturer grouping; once every slot is filled, the Wishlist constrains SSR outcomes to listed units. Because this is a community-wiki description rather than an official rate table, verify the feature’s current eligibility and behavior in the live client. The overview also describes Silver Mileage as a route to Spare Bodies, not a direct exchange for a new Nikke: community recruitment overview.
Limited Select’s dated character list and pool rules
The September 17, 2026 notice schedules Limited Select Recruit through October 8, 2026 at 4:59:59 UTC+9. The six listed choices are Rupee: Winter Shopper, Anne: Miracle Fairy, Ludmilla: Winter Owner, Mica: Snow Buddy, Maiden: Ice Rose, and Guillotine: Winter Slayer. This is a time-limited list, not a standing feature; check the current in-game notice if recruiting after the stated end time. September 17 update notes.

Post-banner availability is also character- and banner-specific. That update says its two named Special Recruit characters will enter Ordinary Recruit, Social Point Recruit, and Molds after their banners, subject to exclusions. It separately says the named Limited Select characters will not enter those pools or the Mileage Shop. Do not assume every featured character becomes part of the permanent pool or can later be bought with mileage: update notes.
