To be considered, you must subscribe to the Pokémon Center newsletter, but the company does not publish its selection criteria—and subscribing does not guarantee an invitation. As of the Pokémon Center Support FAQ updated October 6, 2026, customers in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom may be selected.
Who is eligible for a Pokémon Center Invite Only invitation?
Pokémon Center says newsletter subscribers who meet its criteria may be selected. It does not disclose those criteria, and not every subscriber receives an invitation. Even meeting the criteria is not a guarantee. The current FAQ names the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom as eligible regions; those regions may change as Pokémon Center updates its rules. You do not need an existing Pokémon Center account to receive an invitation. Do not assume that purchase history, account age, or marketing engagement affects selection: Pokémon Center has not stated that these are factors. Signing up with multiple email addresses or creating multiple subscriptions does not improve your chances and may cause an invitation to be voided.
How do you know if you received an invitation?
If selected, you receive an email with a unique link to shop for one or more Invite Only items. Pokémon Center does not publish in advance which items will be offered; any item, including a preorder, may be included. Check the invitation itself and any current official product page for the item and its terms.

How to use the invitation and place an order
- Open the invitation email. Use the unique link sent to your email address. The link is intended for you, is not transferable, and may be disabled if Pokémon Center suspects misuse or a policy violation.
- Use one device and browser. Pokémon Center advises staying in the same browser and on the same device while opening the link, shopping, and checking out. Using multiple devices or browsers may interfere with completing an order.
- Sign in or register with the invited email address. Before checkout, log in to your Pokémon Center account using the same address that received the invitation. If you do not have an account, you can create one after receiving the invitation.
- Check availability and the expiration date in the email. Add the item and complete checkout while it is still available and before the link expires.
The link is intended for one use, so do not share it or expect to reuse it after completing an order. Pokémon Center says a customer who needs more time after opening the link may close the browser and reopen the invitation link, provided it has not expired.
Does an invitation guarantee the item?
No. An invitation is not a reservation: items are limited and available only while supplies last and until the expiration date stated in the invitation email. The item may sell out before that date. Pokémon Center recommends using the invitation sooner rather than later if you want to buy the item.

What if the Invite Only item is a preorder?
Pokémon Center’s separate preorder rules apply. In its Preorder FAQ, updated August 13, 2026, the company says a preorder requires a valid credit or debit card. It places an initial authorization when the order is placed, may reauthorize the payment before shipment, and charges the card when the item ships. Gift cards, Apple Pay, and PayPal are not accepted for preorders under that FAQ. Pokémon Center Preorder FAQ
Preorders can be canceled only before processing. Pokémon Center also requires separate orders for preorders with different release dates and for a preorder combined with a non-preorder item.

Invite Only versus the virtual queue and SMS alerts
These are separate Pokémon Center services, not different ways to qualify for Invite Only:

What is not known about Invite Only?
Pokémon Center does not publish the selection criteria, invitation acceptance rates, invitation counts, product quantities, or the items that will be included. There is no supported basis for predicting who will be selected or which product will appear. The official FAQ is the best place to confirm current eligibility, terms, and item details.
