Stephen Root has confirmed that he is in the game; GamesRadar reports that he performs Brian Heder. The reviewed sources do not confirm who plays leads Jason Duval or Lucia Caminos.
Which GTA 6 characters has Rockstar confirmed?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI character profiles name Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as the central characters and provide biographies for supporting figures. Those profiles establish fictional characters and story context; they do not publish performer credits.
Jason Duval
Rockstar says Jason grew up around “grifters and crooks,” joined the Army in an effort to move past troubled teenage years, and later worked for local drug runners in the Keys. He wants an easier life, but meeting Lucia may make that harder. His official profile puts it simply: “Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.”
Lucia Caminos
Lucia’s father taught her to fight. Rockstar says fighting for her family led to her imprisonment in Leonida Penitentiary, and luck got her out. After her family’s time in Liberty City, she wants the better life her mother dreamed of and is ready to pursue her own plan.

Supporting characters
- Cal Hampton: Jason’s friend and one of Brian’s associates. He prefers staying home, snoops on Coast Guard communications, and is comfortable with a conspiratorial view of the world.
- Boobie Ike: A Vice City figure who built a legitimate business empire from street experience, with interests in real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio.
- Raul Bautista: An experienced, confident bank robber looking for people willing to take risks. Rockstar says his recklessness raises the stakes.
- Brian Heder: A veteran Keys drug runner who still moves product through his boatyard with his third wife, Lori. Jason lives rent-free in one of Brian’s properties in exchange for helping with local shakedowns.
Rockstar’s official character and media site also includes Dre’Quan Priest and Real Dimez. PC Gamer’s guide to GTA 6 characters, updated August 29, 2026, describes Real Dimez as the rap duo Bae-Luxe and Roxy and Dre’Quan as a music hustler. Treat that as secondary guide context, not a complete cast list or a substitute for the official profiles.
Who plays Jason and Lucia in GTA 6?
The reviewed sources do not establish the performers for Jason or Lucia. Rockstar’s character profiles name the characters but do not credit their actors, so lookalike comparisons, voice speculation, fan theories, résumé entries, and database listings should not be treated as confirmation.

Is Stephen Root in GTA 6, and who does he play?
Yes. In Associated Press material quoted by GamesRadar, Stephen Root confirms he is involved in the game. Root says: “Yeah, you’re gonna see me in there.” He also explains that people recognized him from King of the Hill and his voice, adding, “I’m so happy to be involved with it. It’s an amazing thing to look at.”
GamesRadar identifies Root as Brian Heder’s performer. The quoted confirmation establishes Root’s involvement, but Root does not explicitly name Brian in the quoted passage. The careful distinction is that Root confirmed being in GTA VI and GamesRadar attributes Brian Heder to him.

What is the confirmed story setup?

That is the official premise, not a full plot summary: the reviewed sources do not establish the complete story or the characters’ eventual fates.
