To make an Infinix phone last longer between charges, start by lowering screen brightness, shortening screen timeout, and checking which apps use the most battery. When you need to conserve a low charge, use Battery Saver or your model’s Power Marathon mode, and reduce demanding activities such as hotspot use, navigation, video streaming, and graphics-heavy games.
Make the biggest everyday changes first
Reduce screen power use
- Lower brightness, or enable automatic brightness if it works well for you.
- Set the screen to turn off sooner when you stop using the phone.
These settings reduce how long and how brightly the display stays on. The exact menu labels can differ by Android and XOS version; search Settings for “brightness” or “screen timeout” if you cannot find them. Google lists display adjustments among its recommendations for using less battery: Android battery guidance.
Find apps using unusually high battery
Open Settings and search for “battery” or “battery usage” to review which apps have consumed the most power. If an app is using an unusual amount in the background, restrict its background activity or adjust its settings. Menu names and available controls vary by device. Restricting an app can delay background work or notifications, so avoid doing this to apps whose timely alerts or activity you rely on.
Use battery-saving modes when you need extra time
Turn on Battery Saver when your charge is low or you expect to be away from a charger for a long stretch. Android’s Battery Saver can limit or turn off background activity, and some apps, connections, or features may be delayed or unavailable while it is active.

Some Infinix models use the name Power Marathon and may offer multiple modes or “scenes.” The feature and its label are not uniform across every Infinix phone. Search Settings for “Power Marathon,” “Battery Saver,” or “battery,” then confirm the option available on your model rather than relying on a menu path intended for another device.
Infinix product pages illustrate why the model matters: its HOT 20 NFC Gulf page describes “SMART POWER SAVING SCENES,” while its SMART 7 HD Senegal page describes Power Marathon strategies. Cut back on high-drain activities and connections
When conserving a charge matters, reduce the time spent on activities that keep the display, processor, or radios working hard. You do not need to disable useful features when you need them; the aim is to limit avoidable use during the period you need the battery to last.
- Shorten navigation sessions or download directions for offline use if your navigation app supports it.
- Reduce video streaming and graphics-heavy gaming, especially during long sessions.
- Turn off hotspot or tethering when nobody needs the connection.
- Disable Bluetooth or location when you are not using them.
- Use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data where appropriate. Airplane mode can save power when you do not need mobile connectivity, but it disconnects cellular service.
- Long calls while moving and extended camera use can also contribute to drain; reduce them when practical.
Keep the phone cool and charge without battery myths
Heat can increase battery drain even when the phone is idle and can harm the battery. Google Android Help states, “Your battery drains much faster when it’s hot, even when not in use.” Avoid leaving the phone in a hot environment or keeping it under sustained heavy load while charging when you can.

You do not need to repeatedly drain the battery from full to empty to “train” its capacity. Google says occasional discharge below 10% followed by a full overnight charge is an option, not a routine requirement for every charging session. What Infinix battery-duration claims do—and do not—tell you
Infinix’s HOT 20 NFC Gulf page claims up to three days of light use on one charge and gives other figures, including 150 minutes of calling at 5% battery. The page notes that results can vary with testing conditions; these are manufacturer claims for that model, not typical results established for all Infinix phones.

The SMART 7 HD Senegal page claims up to two hours of calling at 5% battery in Ultra Power Saving Mode. That figure is also specific to the named model and Infinix’s testing context. The HOT 20 NFC and SMART 7 HD figures should not be compared as if they came from the same test, since their models and usage assumptions differ. Neither product page states a publication date.

- Restart the phone.
- Check Settings for Android or system updates, and update apps through your app store.
- Review battery usage again to identify an app or activity that stands out.
- If the problem continues, contact Infinix support or your carrier for device-specific help.
- Consider a factory reset only as a last resort. It removes local data and apps, so back up anything important first.
If you need to recharge away from an outlet, a compatible USB-C power bank can help, but it does not reduce battery drain or improve battery health. Check your phone’s actual port and supported input before choosing a charger.
