These options address different search jobs, so there is no single universal winner for every Android phone. The documented descriptions establish features, not comparative speed, completeness, or privacy performance.
How do you search for apps and web results on a Pixel?
Start with Pixel’s built-in search when you want to look across the phone and the web. Google says Pixel search can find content from both. You can also control which apps appear in search results. See Google’s Pixel search help for its current guidance.
Do not assume that every Pixel indexes content inside every app. Google currently documents on-device content search integrations for Gmail, Clock, Messages, Drive, and Photos on Pixel 11 series. Other Pixel models or apps may offer different coverage.

How do you find downloaded files on Android?
Open the phone’s Files app and search or browse there. Android Help says this is usually where files are found, but manufacturers may supply a different file-management app and the steps vary by device. Google’s Android file help explains the general approach.
Using Files by Google
Files by Google describes search and browsing for photos, videos, documents, GIFs, and recent downloads. Its Play Store description is a product listing, not a guarantee that every Android phone has the app preinstalled. See Files by Google on Google Play.

When a download does not appear
Some content downloaded within another service may remain easiest to find in that service’s own app. Check the app where you downloaded it as well as the phone’s Files app.
Can one Android search app find apps, files, and web results?
Pixel Search is one third-party option whose Google Play listing says it searches apps, shortcuts, contacts, files, and web suggestions. The listing says internet access supports web suggestions, while contacts and phone permissions are optional for the corresponding functions. Those are claims and disclosures from the app listing; they are not an independent privacy audit or a test of how completely it searches a particular phone.

Another option mentioned by its developer is Quick Search. In a developer-authored Reddit post, the developer describes it as open source and ad-free, with search for files, apps, contacts, and web engines. Treat those as developer claims rather than independently verified comparisons.
How do you search what is on your screen?
Use Circle to Search when you want to look up something currently displayed—such as a phrase, object, or place—without first switching to a separate search app. Google says you can circle, tap, scribble, or highlight screen content to search it. Google also says Android users do not need to download Circle to Search separately. Availability and behavior can depend on the device and software. Details are on the Android Circle to Search page.

What should you compare before choosing?
Check whether an option searches the categories you actually need: installed apps, local files, contacts, settings, web results, or on-screen content. Then consider device and software compatibility, what permissions are optional or required, which search providers are available, and whether a result comes from the phone or the web.
Feature descriptions alone do not establish which app is fastest, most private, or most complete. The available product and help pages do not provide a controlled head-to-head test, so a performance ranking would not be supported.
