A Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drop is a themed physical card product from Wizards of the Coast. A Secret Lair Superdrop is a sales event that brings several individual drops together; it is not one product with a fixed number of cards or drops.
How a Secret Lair drop differs from a Superdrop
Think of a drop as the product and a Superdrop as the event in which multiple products are offered. The number of drops in a Superdrop changes by release: Wizards’ 2026 announcements described three drops for the Moonlight Jellies Superdrop, five for A Marvelous Mathoms, and eight each for A Perfectly Normal and Corn Maze. Those examples show why “Superdrop” does not mean a set number of products. A Perfectly Normal Superdrop; Corn Maze Superdrop; Moonlight Jellies Superdrop
What comes in a drop?
Contents depend on the specific drop. Check its official product listing or announcement for the card list, item count, finish, and any tokens; there is no standard Secret Lair card count. For example, Wizards’ 2024 Marvel announcement presented five themed drops, with six listed items in the Black Panther drop including a token. Its 2026 Stardew Valley announcement listed three themed drops and described eight items in Welcome to Stardew Valley. Marvel Superdrop; Stardew Valley contents and options
Finishes and prices vary by release
A listing may offer non-foil, foil, or another named treatment, and the options and prices are release-specific. As examples only, Wizards’ 2026 Stardew Valley announcement listed these USD prices:

Where and when can you buy one?
Wizards directs buyers to MagicSecretLair.com for announced sales. Availability outside the initial storefront event is specific to the product: Wizards announced that the non-foil Secret Lair x Fallout: Beyond Vault 33 would later be available through Amazon.com and WPN game stores, and that select Stardew Valley non-foil editions would later be available at WPN stores. These announcements do not mean all drops are sold through those channels or that a listing remains in stock. Rad Superdrop and Beyond Vault 33 availability; Moonlight Jellies Superdrop

Sale timing and availability language can also differ. A 2024 Marvel announcement said its sale had no hard end date and products could be removed from the storefront over time; newer announcements specify event launch dates. Check the current announcement rather than assuming every release follows the same schedule. Marvel Superdrop

In the reviewed 2026 event announcements, the pre-queue opened one hour before the listed 9 a.m. Pacific start. People already in the queue were assigned random places when the sale began; later arrivals were placed in the order they proceeded to checkout. A cart did not hold inventory: Wizards said, “Adding products to your cart does not reserve them. Products are only secured once checkout is completed.” These are the instructions for those announced events, not a guarantee that every future sale will use identical queue timing or rules.
