Choose a wheel for Assetto Corsa by confirming the exact game edition and platform first; console compatibility depends on the wheel’s licensed variant, not just its product family. Then compare the complete bundle—pedals, mounting, room, and upgrade options—rather than choosing by wheelbase alone. The options below are compatibility-led candidates, not a tested performance ranking.
Start with the game edition and platform
Before comparing hardware, write down the exact game and how you will play it:
- Game: the original Assetto Corsa or Assetto Corsa Competizione.
- Platform: PC, PlayStation 4 or 5, or Xbox One or Series.
- Play method: a native installation or a cloud/streamed session.
These distinctions matter. 505 Games’ support article, modified September 12, 2023, gives a supported-wheel list for the console edition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; that list should not be treated as a guarantee for another game, console generation, or streaming setup. The publisher says console editions work with officially licensed first-party wheels and pedals and advises checking current system compatibility with the manufacturer. For PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series, verify support for the exact wheel model and console as well as the relevant console’s backward-compatibility policy. For a streamed session, check that the service and device pass wheel input through; local console or PC compatibility alone does not establish that.

Check the exact product variant, not just the brand
Some product families have different console versions, and some ecosystems assign console licensing to different components. Read the listing for the precise SKU and verify every component you intend to use.
- Logitech G923: Logitech sells separate Xbox/PC and PlayStation/PC models. Select the version for your console, then confirm support for your particular game and platform rather than assuming the product name guarantees it. Check Logitech’s G923 product listing.
- Fanatec: Fanatec explains that PlayStation compatibility requires a PlayStation-licensed wheelbase, while Xbox compatibility comes from an Xbox-licensed steering wheel. Once you have a compatible platform variant, compare the actual package you would buy. Included pedals, mounting needs, and upgrade paths can change how suitable a setup is for your space and budget.

The T300 family is a reasonable candidate to investigate if its exact variant fits your platform: 505 Games lists several T150 and T300 variants for PS4, and Thrustmaster’s T300RS page names Assetto Corsa and lists PC and PlayStation support. Check the precise model, console generation, and included pedals before buying. Thrustmaster’s page also carries a force-feedback caveat for a listed configuration, so confirm the expected effects for your exact game and platform rather than assuming identical behavior across setups. The G923 is an integrated wheel-and-pedal option to consider when its platform-specific model matches your setup. Logitech lists separate PlayStation/PC and Xbox/PC versions. Confirm that the exact SKU and your game edition are supported on the console or PC you plan to use.
