Apple has not announced an “iPhone 20” or confirmed a 20th-anniversary iPhone. The original iPhone debuted in 2007, making 2027 its 20th-anniversary year, and reports expect Apple to introduce a premium anniversary model around fall 2027. A glass-focused redesign is rumored, but its status is disputed; under-display Face ID and camera technology are also possibilities, not confirmed features. The often-cited starting price of about $1,299 or more is a third-party estimate.
Is Apple releasing an iPhone 20 in 2027?
There is no confirmed iPhone 20 announcement. “iPhone 20” is a label used in rumors and headlines, not a product name Apple has verified. The anniversary connection is straightforward: the first iPhone debuted in 2007, so 2027 marks 20 years since its introduction. That milestone makes an anniversary model plausible, but it does not establish that Apple will release one or call it iPhone 20. Apple’s June 2026 newsroom announcement does not announce or confirm such a device.
When is the iPhone 20 expected to launch?
Reports point to a possible fall 2027 introduction, with September often suggested because it is part of Apple’s usual iPhone launch window. This is an expectation, not a scheduled or announced launch date. MacRumors reported the fall 2027 expectation in July 2026, while Macworld’s September 2026 coverage noted that there was no hard release-date information. Apple has not confirmed a date.
What redesign is rumored for the anniversary iPhone?
Reports have described a glass-centric or near-all-screen design, potentially with curved glass and very narrow bezels. These are unverified design claims, and reports conflict on whether the concept is still moving forward.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Reports disagree about the all-glass concept
In August 2026, MacRumors reported that analyst Edison Lee believed Apple had canceled the all-glass phone concept. A later September excerpt attributed to unnamed sources said the glass-focused plans remained on track. The latter account was surfaced through Reddit-hosted material rather than a directly verifiable primary report. Neither account establishes the final design, so an all-glass iPhone should be treated as uncertain rather than a settled feature.
Will it have an all-screen display or under-display Face ID?
Apple is reportedly testing under-display Face ID and a camera, but reporting says it is uncertain whether those technologies will be ready for a 2027 launch. If they were used, they could reduce visible display cutouts; there is no confirmation that the notch or Dynamic Island will disappear. The reports do not establish final screen coverage, edge curvature, or camera placement.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
How much might the iPhone 20 cost?
Macworld reported an expectation of a starting price around $1,299 or more in September 2026. That figure is a third-party estimate, not an Apple price or a confirmed minimum. Apple has not announced the model, its pricing, or its availability, so the estimate should not be treated as a purchase-planning certainty.

How to read the latest iPhone 20 reports
- Separate the anniversary from the product claim: 2027 is the 20th anniversary year, but Apple has not confirmed a special handset.
- Look for confirmation, not repetition: Multiple reports repeating a rumor do not turn it into an official specification.
- Distinguish testing from shipping features: Reports that Apple is testing a technology do not show that it will appear in a released phone.
- Treat the price as provisional: The $1,299-or-more figure comes from a media estimate, not an Apple listing.
