Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

Enrollment is limited and varies by beta version, Galaxy model, market, software version, and sometimes carrier, so the notice in Samsung Members on your own phone is the most useful eligibility check.
Before you start: check whether your phone can enroll
Samsung opens beta enrollment selectively; a beta announcement naming a Galaxy model does not mean every unit or country can join. Samsung’s September 1, 2026 announcement described a One UI 9 expansion for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 FE in select markets, including India, Korea, the U.K., and the U.S. Its May 12, 2026 announcement covered the Galaxy S26 series and listed Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S. for the initial program. These are different rollout waves, not a guarantee that every listed phone is enrolling in every listed market. Samsung says availability and timing vary by market, and eligibility can also depend on region, carrier, model, and current software version. Check the Samsung Members notice on your phone for the current offer. Samsung’s May 2026 One UI 9 announcement and September 2026 expansion announcement provide dated rollout details.
How to install the One UI beta
-
Look for the beta program in Samsung Members
Open the Samsung Members app and sign in to your Samsung account. Look for a One UI Beta Program banner or notice. If no enrollment offer appears, the program may not be open for your model or market at that time.
-
Register through the in-app prompt
Open the beta notice, review its terms and participation criteria, and submit the registration application. Samsung’s support guidance says a Samsung account and meeting the program criteria are required. Samsung Members support guidance on beta registration.

Download the update from Software Update
On the phone, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The beta may not appear immediately after registration; wait and check again later. Samsung describes registration followed by the phone’s built-in update screen as the route to install it.

If the beta banner or update does not appear
- No banner in Samsung Members: Recruitment may not be open for your exact model, market, carrier, or software version. Use the app notice rather than assuming eligibility from a general device announcement.
- You registered, but no update is available: Samsung support says rollout can take time after registration. Return to Settings > Software update > Download and install later.
- Your model was listed in an older announcement: Beta eligibility changes between program versions and rollout waves. For example, Samsung’s April 9, 2026 One UI 8.5 announcement describes an earlier phased program, not current One UI 9 eligibility. Samsung’s historical One UI 8.5 expansion announcement.
Back up before installing, and understand how leaving works
Back up the phone before installing beta software. Samsung Members support guidance distinguishes withdrawing from the program from removing beta software already installed: withdrawal alone does not return the phone to stable software. The cited support response describes a separate rollback using the Smart Switch computer application and a USB connection; that rollback resets the device and removes data created during beta testing. Samsung Members support guidance on withdrawing and rollback.
That rollback description is support-community guidance, not a universal guarantee for every device or beta. Before joining, check the current Beta Tips in Samsung Members for device-specific withdrawal and recovery instructions. Do not assume that every item created during beta testing will be restored from a backup.
