SpaceX is now publicly traded as SPCX, but the available figures do not establish its share price or valuation on October 7, 2026. That means there is no evidence-based way here to call the stock cheap, expensive, or a buy at today’s price. The June IPO price of $135 is a historical reference—not a target or measure of fair value. Investors can assess SpaceX’s reported business mix, interim financial results, investment needs, and IPO-disclosed risks, then compare them with an up-to-date quote and their own investment goals.
SpaceX is public, but the IPO price is not today’s price
SpaceX completed its June 2026 initial public offering and trades under the ticker SPCX. The company announced an IPO price of $135 per share on June 11, 2026, and said trading was expected to begin June 12 on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas. These are historical offering details; they do not show what SPCX was worth on October 7. SpaceX’s IPO pricing announcement provides the offering information.
The latest financial filing cited here covers the six months ended June 30, 2026. It cannot establish an October share price or a current valuation. Before deciding, check a current quote and the latest company filings; do not use the IPO price alone as a buy signal.
What SpaceX reported for the first half of 2026
SpaceX reported substantial year-over-year revenue growth for the six months ended June 30, alongside a larger net loss and significant capital spending. The figures below are interim results for that six-month period, not a full-year forecast.

| Measure | Six months ended June 30, 2026 | Six months ended June 30, 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $12.508 billion | $8.138 billion |
| Net loss | $4.817 billion | $1.536 billion |
| Net cash provided by operating activities | $3.466 billion | Not stated in the cited filing figures |
| Capital expenditures | $28.476 billion | Not stated in the cited filing figures |
These reported figures come from SpaceX’s SEC filing for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue growth is one part of the picture, but it does not erase the reported loss or show that the business is already self-funding its investment program. Operating cash flow and capital expenditures are different measures: the former reflects cash generated by operations, while the latter records investment spending. SpaceX’s SEC filing contains the interim results.
SpaceX’s business is broader than launch services
The filing reports three segments—Space, Connectivity, and AI. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, Connectivity was the largest of the three by reported revenue and the only one of the three with operating income.

- SpaceX History: The Starship has a reusable feature and boasts the largest payload capacity in the world. With multiple and rapid iterations and upgrades, the Starship is on the verge of a successful launch and recovery
- Best Gift for Boys: This model is an excellent gift for aerospace enthusiasts, making it a fantastic birthday present and keepsake. It is suitable for display in the living room, study, or office
| Segment | Revenue, six months ended June 30, 2026 | Operating income (loss), same period |
|---|---|---|
| Space | $1.581 billion | $(1.444) billion |
| Connectivity | $7.548 billion | $2.946 billion |
| AI | $3.379 billion | $(2.932) billion |
The segment results show where revenue and operating profit or loss were reported during that period; they do not establish future growth, margins, or profitability. A decision based only on launch activity would overlook the company’s reported Connectivity and AI businesses, while treating one strong segment as a guarantee would go beyond what the interim figures show.
IPO risks include voting control and book-value dilution
SpaceX’s IPO pricing announcement directs investors to review the prospectus and its risk factors. Marex Financial’s UK retail-offer disclosure described the expected post-offering governance structure: Elon Musk would hold a majority of voting power, Class B shares would elect a majority of the board, and SpaceX expected to qualify as a controlled company and intended to rely on exemptions from certain corporate-governance listing requirements. These statements describe the IPO context and should be checked against current disclosures. SpaceX’s offering announcement and Marex’s IPO disclosure provide the cited details.

- The proportional model:1:233
- Actual height: 32cm (the core diameter is 24mm, the real rocket is 9 meters in diameter) This ratio is the best choice for desktop placement
- Note: This model is not a toy model, it is not recommended to buy for children, please buy with caution to avoid unnecessary trouble for your shopping
Marex also estimated IPO purchaser dilution of $127.15 per share. This calculation compared the $135 offering price with estimated post-offering adjusted pro forma net tangible book value per share. It is a book-value comparison based on IPO assumptions—not a forecast of trading performance and not evidence that IPO buyers automatically lost $127.15 in market value.

- Valuation: Compare the current quote with updated financial results and forecasts. The $135 IPO price is not a fair-value estimate or price target.
- Segment performance: Track revenue, operating results, and changes in Space, Connectivity, and AI rather than relying on launch activity alone.
- Investment and funding: Consider the scale of capital spending alongside operating cash flow, and whether the company’s plans require substantial continued investment.
- Governance: Read the latest disclosures on voting rights, board composition, and any controlled-company status or exemptions.
- Risk capacity and horizon: Decide whether your time horizon and ability to withstand losses fit the risks of a company with reported losses and heavy investment spending.
Without an October 7 quote and valuation, the available evidence supports neither a buy nor a sell verdict at that date. The practical next step is to obtain current market and filing data, then assess it against these factors rather than extrapolating from the IPO price or six-month results.
