None reproduces the full Jedi formula.
What connects the Star Wars Jedi games?
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order introduces Cal Kestis in an original action-adventure story. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues Cal’s story as a third-person, single-player, galaxy-spanning action-adventure. EA lists five selectable difficulty levels for Survivor, including choices for players who want a harder challenge or an easier story playthrough; that does not establish equivalent options in the other games below. (EA’s Survivor FAQ.)
The official pages used here do not announce another Jedi game or give a release date, so there is no confirmed schedule to plan around. The recommendations below are matches for particular qualities, not one-to-one replacements.
Which game best matches what you want from Jedi?
| Game | Closest match | Main difference | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice | Deliberate sword combat, stealth, vertical traversal | Dark fantasy in Sengoku-era Japan, not science fiction | Players seeking demanding melee fights and movement |
| Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut | Exploration, melee combat, stealth, cinematic story | Open-world samurai adventure in feudal Japan | Players who want a broad world and several combat approaches |
| God of War Ragnarök | Story-led action-adventure, combat, exploration | Norse mythology setting; the cited page does not establish Jedi-like traversal or saber combat | Players prioritizing a cinematic single-player story |
| Star Wars Outlaws | Star Wars setting, exploration, missions | You play as scoundrel Kay Vess; the featured gameplay is not saber combat | Players who want to stay in the galaxy and explore |
Best for sword combat and traversal: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the strongest pick here if what you miss is a close-range fight that rewards attention and timing. Its official description highlights sword combat, stealth, vertical movement, prosthetic tools, and ninja abilities. Those elements make it a fit for players drawn to the combat-and-movement side of Jedi.

#1 Best Overall
- The following games are included in the cartridge: STAR WARS Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (3.6 GB)
- STAR WARS Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (1.1 GB)
- STAR WARS Episode I Racer (254 MB)
- STAR WARS Republic Commando (2.5 GB)
- STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed (3.4 GB)
The distinction matters: Sekiro is a revenge-driven adventure in a dark fantasy version of late-1500s Sengoku Japan, and its official site characterizes the journey as dangerous and punishing. The available official description does not establish difficulty settings comparable to Survivor’s five selectable levels, so do not assume the games offer the same difficulty flexibility.
Best for open-world exploration: Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut combines an open-world action adventure with katana combat, bow use, stealth, exploration, and a story on Iki Island. Its range of approaches makes it a good choice if you want room to roam as well as direct fights.

Its structure and setting differ from Jedi: this is a samurai story in feudal Japan, built around an open world rather than a science-fiction journey across a galaxy. PlayStation lists the game for PS4 and PS5.
Best for a cinematic, story-led adventure: God of War Ragnarök
God of War Ragnarök is the clearest option in this group if your priority is a story-driven action-adventure with combat and exploration. PlayStation describes it as a Norse mythology adventure and provides pages for both PS5 and PS4.

- A new hero, a story untold in an emotionally gripping new Star Wars campaign that spans over 30 years
- The ultimate battleground
- Galactic scale space combat: Space combat has been designed for Star Wars Battlefront II from the ground up with distinct handling, weapons and customization options
- Battery: No battery used
Choose it for the narrative action-adventure appeal, not because it duplicates Jedi’s lightsaber combat or traversal: the cited PlayStation page does not establish those as matching features.
Best for staying in Star Wars: Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws is the setting-first pick. The official page calls it the first open-world Star Wars game and follows Kay Vess, a scoundrel. Its highlighted gameplay includes exploration, blaster combat, stealth, gadgets, and missions.

That makes it a way to keep exploring the galaxy, but not to repeat Cal Kestis’s Jedi journey: Kay is not a Jedi, and the focus is not saber combat. The official page lists its available platforms; check it alongside your regional storefront before choosing a version.

Platform can narrow the shortlist. EA lists Jedi: Survivor on PC and PlayStation and Xbox platforms. PlayStation lists Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut and God of War Ragnarök for PS4 and PS5. For Sekiro and Outlaws, check the official game page and your local store for current platform and regional availability before purchase. Store listings and editions can vary by region.
