For smoother performance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC, first test with ray tracing turned off, then lower demanding quality settings one at a time and compare results in the same gameplay area. Treat this as a practical adjustment sequence, not a guaranteed preset: performance depends on your hardware, resolution, and game build, and EA does not publish setting-by-setting PC benchmark results.
Recommended settings to test first
EA lists Epic as the default for most quality settings, with ray tracing and VSync on and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) disabled. Those are documented defaults, not performance recommendations. A controlled test helps you decide which changes actually improve your experience on your PC.
- Set your target resolution. Choose the resolution you want to play at, then use a repeatable gameplay area for comparisons. Note how the game feels before changing anything.
- Turn ray tracing off and test. This is the first performance-focused toggle to try. The improvement, if any, depends on your CPU and GPU; it is not a guaranteed frame-rate increase.
- Lower quality settings individually if needed. Try reducing shadows, visual effects, foliage detail, or view distance, then check frame pacing and image quality before making another change. This order is a practical starting point, not an EA-validated ranking of the most demanding settings.
- Evaluate FSR if resolution performance remains a concern. Change the upscaling option and check the resulting image and resolution scale. After changing FSR or a quality preset, verify that the game is still rendering at the scale you expect.
- Keep only changes that help. If a setting makes little difference or the image quality loss is not worthwhile, restore it and test another option.
What each graphics option does—and what is known about its impact
EA’s PC visual-settings guide lists resolution, window mode, graphics quality, view distance, shadows, anti-aliasing, textures, visual effects, post-processing, foliage detail, ray tracing, VSync, and FSR. It also lists field of view, motion blur, film grain, and chromatic aberration. The table distinguishes menu defaults from performance advice; EA does not provide a current PC benchmark ranking for these individual settings.

EA documented a past PC issue in which lowering visual settings could also lower resolution scale when FSR was disabled. Its Patch 5 notes advised affected players to readjust their quality settings. This is a historical fix note, not evidence that the same issue affects every current installation; checking resolution scale after changing settings is still a useful safeguard.

Check your PC against EA’s published requirements
EA’s support page, accessed in 2026, lists the following PC requirements. They describe the published minimum and recommended tiers; they do not promise a particular frame rate at a given resolution or preset.

Use those figures as a compatibility reference, not as a performance forecast. A PC that meets the recommended requirements may still need different settings depending on its components, output resolution, and the consistency you want.

What EA’s PC patches say about performance
EA’s October 29, 2024 patch-notes page includes PC Patch 9. EA says that update brought framerate improvements across various hardware configurations, fixes for several sources of framerate hitching, and ray-tracing optimization for CPU usage. The notes describe publisher-reported changes, not independent measurements or a guaranteed result for a particular machine. EA’s wording was: “Ray Tracing has been optimized for CPU usage and should now scale better for high-end GPUs.”
Earlier PC notes also mention improved content caching intended to reduce hitching and improved thread handling with ray tracing off. Patch 7 lists DLSS support among its PC improvements. Its separate “solid 60 FPS” statement concerns console performance mode; it is not a PC frame-rate guarantee.

How to judge whether a change is worthwhile
Compare settings using the same location and the same resolution so that the result is meaningful. Look at both frame-rate consistency and image quality: a change that raises a momentary peak but leaves stutters intact may not solve the problem you notice during play. Consider whether the output resolution or visual trade-off is acceptable, and remember that CPU and GPU capability both affect the result.
EA’s official pages do not provide a current setting-by-setting PC benchmark, so there is no evidence-based universal “best” preset or exact gain to quote. Make one change at a time, keep the ones that improve your own experience, and avoid treating requirements or patch descriptions as a promise of smooth performance.
