An NVIDIA RTX Spark PC is an announced family of Windows computers—compact desktops and slim laptops—built around a combined Blackwell RTX GPU and 20-core Grace CPU. Its main difference from a conventional desktop tower is the integrated Arm-based processor-and-graphics design, unified memory, and compact form factor. It is still a Windows PC, but NVIDIA is positioning it especially for running AI locally, alongside gaming, creative work, and everyday productivity.
What NVIDIA has announced
NVIDIA describes RTX Spark as a new class of Windows PC for personal AI agents. Its announced superchip pairs a Blackwell RTX GPU—with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores—with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU. The components connect over NVLink-C2C and use unified memory. NVIDIA specifies up to 128 GB of unified memory and claims up to 1 petaflop of AI performance. Those are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independently measured results for retail RTX Spark systems. See NVIDIA’s announcement.

NVIDIA’s RTX Spark product page presents the compact desktops as small, ultra-efficient computers for AI agents at a desk, as well as for gaming, creative work, and productivity. The announced family also includes slim Windows laptops, so “RTX Spark PC” does not refer only to a desktop.
How RTX Spark differs from a conventional desktop PC
A conventional desktop often means an upgradeable tower with a separate CPU and discrete graphics card. RTX Spark’s announced design instead puts a Grace CPU and Blackwell GPU in one superchip and uses unified memory in a compact system. The important distinction is the architecture and system design—not a claim that RTX Spark is somehow outside the PC category.

| Aspect | RTX Spark, as announced | Conventional desktop tower |
|---|---|---|
| Processor and graphics | 20-core Grace CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU in an integrated superchip (NVIDIA announcement) | Often a separate CPU and graphics card; configurations vary |
| Memory | Unified memory; NVIDIA specifies up to 128 GB (NVIDIA announcement) | Configuration and upgrade options depend on the system |
| Form factor | Compact desktop models and slim laptops (NVIDIA announcement) | Often a tower, though desktop sizes vary |
| Operating system | Windows PC family (NVIDIA announcement) | Varies by system |
| Upgradeability, ports, cooling, and price | Not established for the family; check the exact OEM model | Varies by system |
The broad platform announcement does not establish how much memory or storage can be replaced, which ports a particular system has, or how its cooling and power limits affect sustained performance. Those details depend on the exact model. It is therefore not possible to say that every RTX Spark system is less upgradeable—or faster—than every conventional desktop.
What it is designed to do
NVIDIA highlights local AI agents, gaming, creative workloads, and productivity. It says RTX Spark integrates CUDA, RTX, DLSS, TensorRT, OptiX, Reflex, and G-SYNC technologies. The presence of those technologies does not by itself establish how a particular application will perform: results depend on the system configuration, software support, and workload. NVIDIA’s performance figures should be treated as vendor claims unless independent testing is available for the specific retail model.

RTX Spark is not DGX Spark
The similar names refer to different products. RTX Spark is an announced Windows PC family that includes laptops and compact desktops. DGX Spark is a separate NVIDIA AI desktop platform documented with a 20-core Arm CPU, Blackwell GPU, 128 GB unified memory, and NVIDIA DGX OS. NVIDIA lists DGX Spark’s dimensions as 150 × 150 × 50.5 mm. These specifications describe DGX Spark, not RTX Spark. See NVIDIA’s DGX Spark documentation.

NVIDIA announced compact desktops and slim laptops for fall 2026 from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI, with Acer and GIGABYTE models to follow. That is the announced availability plan, not confirmation that a specific system is shipping or in stock. The announcement does not provide a complete retail configuration, exact price, or confirmed listing. Check the manufacturer’s page for the model you are considering, and compare it with a conventional desktop on:

- Memory capacity, storage, and which components—if any—can be upgraded.
- Compatibility of the software and peripherals you rely on with its CPU architecture and Windows configuration.
- Graphics features and performance for your intended games or creative work.
- Dimensions, power use, cooling, ports, and networking.
- Price and confirmed availability for the specific configuration.
Until model-level specifications and independent tests are available, the announcement is enough to explain what RTX Spark is, but not to identify a universal winner over a conventional desktop.
