To move files from iCloud Drive to Koofr, download them to your computer first, then upload them through Koofr’s web app or place them in the Koofr desktop sync folder. Check that the files appear in Koofr before deleting the iCloud copies.

Choose how to transfer the files

Method How it works Best suited to Important consideration
Koofr web app Download files from iCloud Drive to your computer, then upload them in Koofr. A one-time move or a small batch of files. Files must be staged on your computer first. Apple says downloads go to the browser’s configured download location. Apple Support
Koofr desktop sync Download or locate the files on your computer, then copy them into the Koofr folder created by the desktop client. Moving a folder or files you want synchronized from the computer to Koofr. Wait for syncing to finish and confirm the files are in Koofr before removing the originals. Koofr desktop app help
WebDAV Connect Koofr as a network location, then copy files to it. People who already use network drives or prefer file-manager access. Koofr requires an application-specific password. Koofr recommends enabling the network drive through its desktop client settings. Koofr WebDAV setup

Koofr’s documented cloud connections include Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, but do not list iCloud Drive. The documented iCloud route is therefore a download to your computer followed by a Koofr upload or sync—not a direct cloud-to-cloud transfer. Koofr connected cloud services

Move files using iCloud.com and the Koofr web app

  1. Sign in to Koofr in a browser and open the destination folder, or create one for the transfer.
  2. Download the iCloud files. Go to iCloud Drive on iCloud.com, select the files you want, and choose the download option. Your browser saves them to its configured download location. If you need the precise current controls, follow Apple’s iCloud.com download instructions.
  3. Upload the downloaded files to Koofr. Return to Koofr, open the destination folder, and use the web app’s upload controls to select the downloaded files.
  4. Verify the destination. Check that the files and expected folder contents appear in Koofr before deleting anything from iCloud Drive.

Downloading a file does not keep later edits synchronized with iCloud Drive. Apple notes that changes to a downloaded file remain only on the device unless you upload that file to iCloud Drive again. Apple Support

Move files into Koofr’s desktop sync folder

  1. Install and sign in to Koofr’s desktop client. It creates a Koofr folder on your computer that syncs with Koofr’s “My desktop sync” folder. Koofr desktop app help
  2. Make sure the iCloud files are on the computer. Download them from iCloud.com if necessary. On a Mac, you can copy files that are already available locally from iCloud Drive in Finder.
  3. Copy—not move—the files into the Koofr folder. Keeping the iCloud source in place while the transfer runs gives you a fallback if a file fails to sync.
  4. Wait for syncing to complete, then check Koofr. Confirm that the copied files and folders are present in the destination before deciding whether to remove the iCloud originals.

On Windows, Koofr notes that some filename characters, as well as spaces or periods at the end of a filename, can cause sync errors. If a file does not sync, inspect its name and consult Koofr’s desktop app guidance.

Use Finder or WebDAV on a Mac

If iCloud Drive files are already stored locally on your Mac, copy them in Finder into the Koofr desktop sync folder. This avoids downloading a second copy through a browser. For a network-drive workflow, Koofr can also be mounted through WebDAV in Finder; that setup uses an application-specific password. Koofr says enabling the network drive in the desktop client settings automatically configures WebDAV and describes this as its recommended setup. Koofr WebDAV setup Koofr’s recommended WebDAV method

Use caution with WebDAV on Windows

Koofr’s Windows WebDAV help article says Windows has a default 50 MB maximum file-size limitation for uploads or downloads through WebDAV; the article does not state a publication year. If your transfer includes larger files, use Koofr’s web app or desktop sync folder instead. Koofr Windows WebDAV file-size help
