Arken Age, the VR game listed under developer and publisher VitruviusVR, requires a Windows PC in its Steam version. Steam lists PC system requirements and OpenXR and SteamVR launch options; its “all headsets supported” wording means headset compatibility with a PC VR setup, not that the game runs natively on a standalone headset.
What “VitruviusVR” refers to
VitruviusVR is the developer and publisher named on the official Steam listing for Arken Age, which describes the game as a VR action-adventure title and gives its release date as January 16, 2025. The answer below applies to that Steam version. If you mean a different VitruviusVR game, check that game’s own store listing and requirements.
Why “all headsets supported” does not mean standalone
Steam describes Arken Age as VR Only and states: “OpenXR & SteamVR Launch Options (All Headsets Supported).” These options address using compatible headsets with a PC. They do not establish that the Steam game runs on a headset by itself without a computer.
The listing does not specify whether a separate standalone edition exists on another platform or whether one has been announced. That possibility is not confirmed by the Steam compatibility statement.

What to check before playing
- Confirm the game version. These requirements describe the Steam release of Arken Age, not every possible game or platform associated with VitruviusVR.
- Compare the PC with the minimum specifications. Check that it runs 64-bit Windows 10/11 and meets the listed CPU, GPU and VRAM, memory, DirectX, and storage requirements.
- Check headset compatibility through the PC. Steam lists OpenXR and SteamVR launch options and broad headset support, but does not compare individual headset models.
Bottom line on standalone play
For Arken Age on Steam, plan on using a Windows PC with a compatible PC VR headset. The Steam listing does not support treating the game as a native standalone Quest title, and its broad headset-support language is not evidence of PC-free play.
