Confirmed PS5 Pro games announced with upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) include Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill f, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Control, Alan Wake 2, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Nioh 3, Rise of the Ronin, Monster Hunter Wilds, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Resident Evil Requiem, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and Arknights: Endfield. Which games support PSSR on PS5 Pro?
Sony’s announcements confirm the following games for upgraded PSSR on PS5 Pro. The version or rollout timing matters: an announcement that a feature is coming does not by itself establish that every player has received it.

What PSSR support means
PSSR is Sony’s AI image-upscaling feature for PS5 Pro. Sony describes it as a library that analyzes each frame pixel by pixel while upscaling game visuals. Its March 2026 upgraded-PSSR announcement describes improved image stability, clearer fine detail, and more consistent performance as goals of the revised technology—not guaranteed, identical results in every game. Original PSSR versus upgraded PSSR
A game can support original PSSR without having a title-specific announcement of upgraded PSSR. For example, Assassin’s Creed Shadows supported original PSSR at launch, while Sony separately announced upgraded support through Title Update 1.1.9. When checking a game, look for the exact wording in its patch notes or Sony’s announcement, and distinguish a confirmed upgraded-PSSR update from baseline PS5 Pro support.

Can you enable enhanced PSSR for older supported games?
Yes, for PS5 Pro games that already support PSSR, Sony describes an optional system setting called “Enhance PSSR Image Quality.” It applies improved PSSR without requiring a game-specific upgraded-PSSR integration announcement. Results vary by title, and Sony says you can turn the setting off if unexpected visual effects appear. Sony’s February 27, 2026 announcement.
The same Sony post reported that more than 50 PS5 Pro titles used original PSSR as of February 27, 2026. That is a historical count, not a current total or a title-by-title compatibility list; Sony’s announcements cited here do not establish a complete live roster.

How to check whether a game has upgraded PSSR
- Confirm the platform. PSSR is a PS5 Pro feature. Make sure you are checking the PS5 Pro version of the game.
- Install the latest game update. Some confirmed upgrades are tied to a patch or version, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update 1.1.9, DOOM: The Dark Ages Update 4, and Arknights: Endfield Version 1.4.
- Check the game’s patch notes or Sony’s announcement. A claim of original PSSR support does not automatically confirm title-specific upgraded PSSR.
- Compare the game’s graphics modes and moving scenes. Sony’s announcements do not give a universal numerical improvement across games. Where the game offers different modes, assess the image and motion in the mode you actually play; do not assume the same result in every mode or scene.
- Try “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” if available. This system option can apply improved PSSR to already-supported PS5 Pro games; disable it if it causes visual effects you do not want.
Do not confuse PSSR with QSSR
QSSR, or Quick Spectral Super Resolution, is a separate AI-upscaling tier Sony announced for the base PS5 on October 1, 2026. Sony named Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei as the first QSSR titles. Those announcements do not show that either game supports PS5 Pro PSSR. Sony’s QSSR announcement.
